Installing Underworld in Non-default Location?

Recommended Posts

I haven't had my PC for long. My operating system is installed on a not very big solid state drive (C:) so I would like to install Anniversary, Legend and Underworld on my harddrive (D:). I haven't managed to do this successfully yet so I'm guessing I'm not doing it right :( . I can't get TRA or TRU to run at all, Legend will run but I can't save. I'm guessing it's because I'm trying to install somewhere other than the default location but I don't know what's wrong. I'm hoping sombody here knows how to do this.

Not sure if I've posted this in the right place BTW.

EDIT: It looks like TRL and TRU will both run but I can't save because they cannot create an autosave, TRA won't work at all.

Cheers. :)

I had to google cloning lol  I wouldn't be happy doing it myself but I know someone who could so it's a thought. As you say, the old games don't have a problem with being installed elsewhere so far anyway. I have Legend, Anniversary and Underworld on disc rather than steam but it looks like that doesn't make a difference :(

Then I'd suggest uninstalling games you are finished with and just install the ones you are playing.

You can backup your save directories and re-install them later if you want to play them again.

Since space is at a premium dump what you can externally to make space for a game or two.

Update: Not sure how exactly but...Underworld and Legend are working! B) I used the Legend SCU a few times and at some point tried making some saves, then after I'd reset everything I discovered a Legend folder complete with the saves had been created in my documents on C: even though the game is installed on D: So I tried installing Underworld on D: and the Eidos folder was created in my documents too. I still don't know why it wouldn't work this way in the first place, and I'm not sure why it works now, but I think it must have something to do with the SCU.
