  2. No new Bond film but they can make this, same producers of James Bond films.

James Bond film producer Barbara Broccoli said in an interview last week while promoting 007: Road To A Million thatĀ  theyĀ  ā€œhavenā€™t even begunā€ modernizing the franchise, adding that there is a ā€œbig road aheadā€ before the James Bond character is ā€œreinvented for the next chapterā€ before starting the search for a new Bond and it will be 4 years before the next Bond film.

  4. This new thing in Vegas.

    https://www.euronews.com/culture/2023/10/02/everything-you-should-know-about-the-sphere-las-vegas-multi-billion-dollar-entertainment-v

    https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-us-canada-66114544

    How was this thing made?

I seen the Tik Tok videos, it can be anything it wants, the inside and the outside are like a sphere shaped video screen.

    https://www.tiktok.com/search?q=%23sphere&t=1696388705370

The videos of its outside that I have seen, one minute is a giant Halloween Jack-O-Lantern, the next minute at night when it's closed, it's a giant sleeping emoji.

The videos of the inside shows it can be anything, the audience can feel like they are on a beach or in a canyon or in one video I have seen, you feel like you are standing in the middle of a landscape surrounded by missile silos launching nuclear missiles.

Also one of the videos said the entire 2/3 of the 17,000+ seats is 3D and 4D HD experience, better than IMAX, without needing to wear any goggles.

This Sphere is gigantic, can you imagine living within miles of it and having to see it lit up in the horizon whenever you step out of your front door.

Here's math used to built it, it might as well be speaking Klingon to me because I don't understand any of it

There are plans to built one in London and Dubai too.

  5. RnoIr7Cz

The first Titanic movie to be released by 20th Century Fox, the other being Titanic 1997

    https://www.amazon.com/Titanic-Clifton-Webb/dp/B009NELHJM/

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046435/

Better than the 1997 Titanic: cos it has more heart and beautiful Barbara Stanwyck, it has no bloated noisy special effects, no 300 million budget (the budget was $1.8 million, $21 million adjusted to 2023), and no midget DiCaprio.

This is a big loss for Hollywood.

His most famous movies gotta still be The Exorcist and The French Connection.

There is a direct sequel to The Exorcist coming this year.

Friedkin's final film will also be released this year

    The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial

  7. ā€˜Barbieā€™ On Cusp Of $1B Global; ā€˜Oppenheimerā€™ Crosses $500M

The third week of Warner Brosā€™ Barbie continues to reign tall as she surfs towards the coveted $1B milestone this weekend. Through Friday, the Greta Gerwig directed pic is at $951.M worldwide including $527.7M from 69 overseas markets in release.

The Margot Robbie-led flick is expected to hit the billion-dollar mark globally before Monday, which would make its director Greta Gerwig the first solo female director to achieve that goal.

Barbie 's Top 5 market to date are the UK ($80.6M), Mexico ($46.6M), Brazil ($37.2M), Australia ($36M) and, somewhat improbably, China ($30.1M).

Whatā€™s more, Christopher Nolanā€™s Oppenheimer has reached the $500M global milestone, on its way to an estimated $551M through Sunday.

This would make it the filmmakerā€™s fifth-highest-grossing film of all time, ahead of Dunkirk. The worldwide total through Friday is $499.3M, meaning that it has already topped the five-century mark today.

Overseas, the Universal title is expected to add an impressive $51M and reaching an estimated international box office cume through Sunday of $323M, which is 129% above Dunkirk, 169% above Interstellar, 212% above Tenet, and 25% above The Dark Knight Rises at the same point in like-for-like markets.

The Cillian Murphy-starrer is the biggest Nolan film of all-time in 41 markets including the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It is Nolanā€™s top non-Batman pic in 55, including Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, Austria, Poland and Malaysia.

The epic story of the titular complicated and brilliant physicist tasked with leading the Manhattan Project, the secret effort to create the atom bomb, and the moral and political struggles that followed is now one of four biographical films to cross $500M global box office ever, including Bohemian Rhapsody, The Passion of the Christ and American Sniper.

Through Sunday, Oppenheimer will rank as the highest-grossing WWII movie of all time worldwide in reported historic grosses, ie also ahead of Saving Private Ryan ($482M) and Pearl Harbor ($449M).

The Top 5 markets through Friday are the UK/Ireland with $45M followed by Germany with $24.6M, France ($21.8M), Australia ($16M) and India ($15M).

Still yet to release such major offshore markets as Korea, Italy and China.

Meanwhile, some folks in Japan are offended by these fans made Barbieheimer/Barbenheimer posters, calling them insensitive.
