  1. You must be the first person I've seen who actually complains about free games. By the way, you can only ever install one game or program at a time on a PC, not forgetting that modern games usually weigh in at 9GB and higher.
  2. I'm very impressed with this forum software and I've just discovered that there's an app in development for Android and iOS. I run a forum on a completely different subject on another platform and we have an app for that which works better than Tapatalk.   3. I pop in here from time to time, especially if I find a bug in TR or need help. Recently I've been playing around with TR1 Glidos and also TombAti with HD textures, which makes the game look much richer. I seem to be in classic games, mod mode at the moment including Chronicles and TRIII.
  4. I think I may have done just that as I can still see the circuit board under the water, below a grid floor behind where Lara is standing in this shot. I may have to consult Stella's oracle.
  5. I came across a Facebook post about outfit restrictions and the mysterious 'Coming soon' tomb/DLC8 and I don't understand why people are getting so worked up. Have I missed something here? I thought that finishing the game, as I have, lifted that outfit restriction and yes, I also noticed the coming soon slot. Some forums are almost melting down on both of these subjects, with many posters saying they've had it with SOTTR. Pardon me?   6. Apart from outfit restrictions being lifted, if you own the season pass, what else does this edition offer? Graphical improvements? New tombs? I don't think so and it's a shame SE couldn't have come up with a surprise for this edition.
  7. Is there a bug in this level, or is it me? I've got to the second level where platforms circle around and I shoot the rope at the bucket, shoot the witch to make sure she can't cut the rope and she gets reeled in. The trouble is that the lever to open the fireburner doesn't work, i.e. there's no press E appearing, even if I holster my weapon. Could be me of course, because sometimes the lever hint appears and sometimes it doesn't. Edit In Stella's guide, she says that once a burning vat is used, the lever can't be used again, if i understand correctly. Last paragraph, boss fight middle level. I had missed the lever which unlocks the second set of floating islands and managed to get to the top level, so please ignore this
  8. He was really mean in The Hitcher and I never forgot that film, just for his menacing presence.

  10. I'd like to see a more global aspect to the next game and for Lara to be a bit more grown up and not so soft. She needs to mature and be grittier and tougher. And perhaps ditch the ponytail.
  11. Tougher stories and a grittier Lara would do it for me. She's not a kid any more, but still behaves like a 14 year old. And yes, ditch Jonah.
  12. This is my go-to game on long haul flights, until I fall asleep.Passes the time wonderfully.

  14. I remapped AIM to the left ALT button but kept the middle button for making fire/crazy arrows, as pressing the right mouse button and middle button at the same time was almost impossible.

I bought the base game when it came out and waited for things to settle down a bit, so on Friday I bought the Croft Edition, which includes the season pass and a whole lot of other lovely stuff from the deluxe edition. This made a lot of sense for me, because Steam works massively in my favour on the local currency exchange rate, so I ended up paying about US$6. Anyway, I can now enjoy many more hours of fun in Shadow and it's rekindled my interest. Nothing worse than wandering around an empty Lara universe.
  16. I found that standing on the nearby rock helped with the bear, although you have to be quick jumping onto it.
  17. Do you mean that rolling back to the beta version made you lose the DLC? How about if you rolled back, as I did, find a base camp to save your progress, and then reverted to the current version of the game? I'm guessing here, but it seems a logical step to try.

  20. I've read a few guides that say the classic outfits like TR 2 don't need any special crafting or whatever, but when I select them, the equip option doesn't appear. I've completed all the main storyline and am at 69% completion, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something here.
  21. This one took me a while because there are levers to push and pull and without spoiling it, I found that I had to use a combination of W and left arrow keys together. This is because I've remapped many of my key bindings, so it was trial and error. I'm also glad that this tomb wasn't on a timer. Now that would have been challenging.
  22. During the last major boss fight, I noticed some weird artefacting with little green, red and white pixels appearing on screen. I know my system is up to playing the game since it's a new Ryzen 2600X/RX580 build. Anyway, this was only happening when DirectX 12 was selected in the options menu, and yet DX11 was just fine. I posted the problem in the Steam forums and SE said they would look into it, but I'm not sure that they have yet. The solution is to turn SMAA to normal, ie not SMAA 2 or above, or simply disable it. Actually, there's not a huge performance difference between DX11 and 12, so it's a little moot really. Here's a video of the glitching.
