A friend of my sister rescued this poor little guy from the apartment trash dumpster when she took out the trash.

She is nursing him back to health. She hadn't decided if she will keep it or give him up for adoption to a good home through one of those no kill cats adoption agencies shelters.

Why would anyone throw a defenseless kitten into the trash dumpster?

Whoever threw it into the trash dumpster can burn in hell forever and for eternity or both.

Update on my post above about the rescued kitty.

My sister's friend nursed him back to health and gave him up for adoption about 3 weeks ago to a very loving new owner.

These were taken about 3 weeks ago, on his first day at his new home:

These were taken today, about 21 days later. He is getting big.

International Cat Day was created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) in cooperation with some other organizations, to celebrate our feline friends.  It is a day focused on bringing attention to cats around the world being that they have been such a part of our lives for many years. Did you know that the earliest cat ownership can be traced back more than 5,500 years ago?

While they were once considered for their hunting abilities, now they are valued for their fellowship and loving behavior. Though not well known, the collective nouns used for cats and kittens are a clowder of cats and a kindle of kittens. Our domestic cats are called little cats. They vary from large cats such as lions and tigers because they are active at night and can purr. Now, Cats are the most popular pet animal in all countries. They were nearly 500 million domestic cats in the world. Owning the cat has been shown to improve one’s mental health and relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. Hence International Cat Day is an annual celebration of one of the world’s favorite animal companions.
