Amazon announces director for next James Bond film

Denis Villeneuve, the Oscar nominated French-Canadian filmmaker, will direct the next James Bond film, Amazon MGM Studios has announced.

In a statement released by the studio, Villeneuve says he is a "die-hard James Bond fan" and intends to "honor the tradition" of the franchise.

He better honor that tradition by not giving in to the peer pressure of  hiring a Non British/United Kingdom Non White Non Male Not Straight actor.

There are quite a few on this list that just not right for the role and they (Amazon) better not even think about it.

Black male and female, Indian (Patel), even Asian as in Chinese. Whoever made this list just took every name he could think of and threw it in the hat.

James Bond died at the end of the last Bond film and the 60 years old franchise died with it.

Shame on Broccoli family saying they will never let anyone control it and then took the $8 billions dollars Amazon offered them after Amazon purchased MGM which owns the home video and theatrical distribution rights to the James Bond films.

After years of incessant rumours, the news has finally dropped... We now know the identity of the actor playing the next James Bond.

The likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson, Scott Rose-Marsh and Callum Turner were rumoured to be in contention for the next superspy, and recent reports suggested that 28-year-old Australian actor Jacob Elordi was the current favourite to play 007.
