carrollyim
Where the is the grapple ? Did you put the sundial "arrow" to the sundial? Move the sundial to 11, then 7. It will open the gate to the maze. Grapple is in the center of the garden. The game came out today how did you play it for a week already? Don't ask... By some method... SlamFM!boy
Did you put the sundial "arrow" to the sundial? Move the sundial to 11, then 7. you gotta twist the sundial thingy to 11, 2 and then 7 but i guess you probably ment that. does anyone know how to get the reward at the gym, the reward in the gap in the right corner it has a slide down thing at the gap aswell... okey explaining a bit weird but if you'll see you all will probably know what i mean. Ms.Croft
you gotta twist the sundial thingy to 11, 2 and then 7 LOL does anyone know how to get the reward at the gym, the reward in the gap in the right corner it has a slide down thing at the gap aswell... okey explaining a bit weird but if you'll see you all will probably know what i mean. Highlight: Yes I do, it confused me at first too. If you look at the reward you'll see a horizontal pole and 2 slides just before it. You need to use them. Firstly climb up the ledge above the trampoline labelled '3'. Jump up, traverse left and face backwards to grab the grapple hook. Make sure Lara is the same height as the first slide nearest to you. Swing back and forth and when she is in line with the slide, press the directional button towards it and press jump. Lara will jump off of the wall onto the first slide, jump again onto the second and then finally onto the horizontal pole. The rest is self-explanatory. SlamFM!boy
THNX MsC!! i though that might help so i allready tried it... but i didn't make the jump so i though i had to do it another way. but i'll just try it a 100 more times LOL. BTW i said the gap that holds the reward in the right corner... but i ment left corner. when you enter the gym it's on your left hand near the corner. sorry my mistake
AngelR
I can't finish Croft Manor - I'm sure I picked up the bow but it is not in my inventory and it is not in the pool anymore.
redlegs
I can't finish Croft Manor - I'm sure I picked up the bow but it is not in my inventory and it is not in the pool anymore. Same here - I drowned (couldn't find the 'surface' key in time) and now the bow has disappeared. I checked the trophy room but it wasn't there. Is it a bug? I quit the game and now have to do it all again!
Gia@LCO
Not sure if this is a bug or what, but in the gym, the horizontal turning bars don't stay in place when the swing around with Lara, they start drifting backward. Has this happened to anyone else? And once you climb to the top of the handholds from them, how do you get Lara to jump backward and grab that ledge? she just won't do it for me, and I really need to get there!! You have to, I believe, start over again or at least load a save file from before you retrieved it. Regarding the bars, I've not even heard of that. Sorry. Regarding the handholds, if you're talking about the green, circular ones, you don't use them to get up somewhere, but as a method to get down from somewhere. Hardkore
I finished Croft Manor and then went back and would have to start all over again. Once you finish it,isn't it supposed to be saved thru checkpoints or do they not hold over after you leave? I checked to see about manually saving like in the game but it didn't have that option showing.
Phantom_2040
When you go back, whatever you've done in the manor should have been automatically loaded, as long as you manually saved. If you missed a specific thing, like you ran into the bow glitch, then I think you might have to start over.
Hardkore
Just got this tidbit of info from Stella's site. SAVING YOUR GAME: The PlayStation game allows you to save your progress in Croft Manor so you can quit and resume later where you left off. Just press Start, then follow the instructions in the menu. The PC game is not quite so forgiving. If you play Croft Manor and exit before completing it, the game will remember which artifacts you've found, but you will need to replay most of the level in order to re-obtain the pistols, grapple and various puzzle objects. Consequently, PC players may want to complete the whole level in one session. I was hoping you could go back and the water would still be on. It would have been nice to go home for a dip in the pool without having to turn on the water again.

When I went back she was waiting at the last checkpoint with everything I had collected prior to that. I fell foul of the construction site bug and had to restart - but I did it quite quickly as I didn't have to collect the artifacts this time so could skip some parts - but both times I did it in more than one session with no replaying to get the grapple, pistols etc. edit - forgot to say - when I went back today after finishing the level yesterday - I went for a dip in the pool
Hardkore
I found out what it was. The 1st time I left I went to the front door, near where you start, in the main room. That made me start all over. The 2nd time I left via the menu screen. When I came back next time it picked up up where I was before. I went back to check on things and the water was still on. Hardkore
You have to click 'Save and Quit'.... Mine doesn't say that. All it says is "quit", then goes to say "are you sure you want to quit?". Are you playing the PC or PS2 version? I am on the PC version.

AngelR
I cant get the reward in the gym that is on top of the slanted ledge in the middle of the wall an I have tried everything to get it. If anyone knows please post it. I merged your topic with an earlier croft manor help. You do need to get button 2 in the corner first - there's a post on this on page 1. This is what Stella says: (The start is the same as you did for button 2 in the corner - see page 1 of this thread) Head for the blue wedge-shaped mat with the number 3 on it. Run up the ramp and jump to grab the horizontal crevice in the rock column ahead. Jump straight up to grab the crevice above. Climb around to the left and jump straight up once more. While hanging onto this crevice climb as close to the wall as Lara will go. Jump back and quickly press the Grapple key to hook the metal ring on the wall above. Once you get Lara hanging from the grapple cable, climb up the cable a little bit (hold Interact and press Up) so Lara's feet are just above the wear marks on the wall. Start wall running from side to side. Then, when Lara is running in a sufficiently long arc, instead of jumping to the left as you did the last time, jump back to land on the slope on top of the free-standing rock column. Slide briefly and quickly jump to the slope ahead. Slide again and quickly jump to grab the L-shaped bar, which pivots 90 degrees to the left. (If the bar is set at the wrong angle to swing into the alcove, you missed something. Redo the section where you wall run to the corner alcove and press the button.) While hanging from the bar, turn around, swing and jump into the alcove. Pick up the silver elephant, Artifact #7.
