Dark Wizard
Lol, my tip for wall pillar jumps is the following: Make sure that Lara is level with the Top of the pillar you want to jump on when she is stationary. Afterwards, run back and forth at least 5 times and when she reaches the optimum position press the button away from the wall and jump almost immeadiately. She will land on the pillar safely. Good luck again lol. MsC This is the point I'm at and I have to say I'll be glad when I get out of there...the first two were real easy but not this nightmare... Hardkore
Push the block under the closing door. Then you'll be able to grab the gate and then jump up to the gap above. Worked for me anyway. Hmm,it didn't work for me that way. With the block under the door she still didn't jump high enough. I had to push the block in front of the door, pull the lever, jump onto the block ,jump onto the gate and jump up to the gap above before the gate closed. Shrensh
Interestingly, when I put the block in front of the door and make Lara take a running jump at it, she bypasses the block entirely and lands straight on the gate
sylar
There are various bugs in this part of the level that prevents you from entering. On the Stella's Walkthroughs" section, I found only a explanation of a bug when the block lands on the wrong side. And the save game they provide, isn't working for me. But I had another problem. I will c/p my mail so you can read for yourself. I will also paste my solution mail here too. Here it is; first my cry for help: Q: The bug you explained.. and the save game file... Save game file „appears to be damaged and can not be used“. Thats what the game message said. But I am expiriencing another bug. Same door, same block. My block falls on the right side. But when I tried to jump to get the little window above, Lara just misses it. Her hands go to the right height and all but there is a glitch (like a game twirls for an instant) and she fell down. Its my last door (and I think my last artifact in this level) Its driving me insane. I need another save game file. Heres my game situation: I have the other 3 keys and 5 artifacts. Do you maybe have a save without this bug? The one I can use to enter this last room? Or if not, the save game with all 4 keys and all 6 artifacts. The last will be a disapointment because I hate to cheat that way but there is no other way I can break thru that door if the game doesn't let me in That was the first part. now comes my second problem there: Q: forgat to tell you.. I pulled the switch to try once again and the door didn't rise. Switch stayed in down position and it will not rise. So now Im really stuck. And then heres what I did A: Well.. I got it When the switch stays down – its a bug. Nothing can be done. Then the unlucky one must wander: „Why the hell I used only one save game file and owerwritten it over and over?“ I had my game saved on every end of level and once during the level. So I went back to the start of the level and when I came to the same spot again, This time, switch haven't stuck, but Lara couldn't reach the upper window anyway. So heres what I've done. I pulled the block down, pushed it near the door and went for the switch. Pulled the Switch but instead of pushing the block under the door, I jumped on the block, waited till the gate rises to its highest point – then jumped to the gate (metal spot where Lara can hold) and quickly jumped up to grab the window before door collapse under Laras weight. It can definetly be done that way. Hope this will help someone. Have a nice day So now Im in the sword room. btw: this is the most beautifull level I've ever seen - ever Edited June 19, 2007 by sylar
ohmydolls
I've been doing this wall run thing for two days and I really have had it. I got all the way to the very last pillar once and then she missed the hand hold and I had to start from scratch. Between missing the wall run and then missing the pillar over and over, I'm about ready to toss the whole console out. I was such an ace with Tomb Raider on the computer, but the PS2 controller hurts my hands after a while. I'm going to try the advice below and see if it helps. Frankly, if I were playing a computer version, I'd have used somebody else's save game file by now. This isn't fun anymore. Its just aggrevating. Such a shame. I made it through all the other rooms with almost no help. Too good to be true; I should have known something would happen like this. I just wish I could find a really good controller that gives me precision control. This one makes my hands feel arthritic after a while.
