Transformers 2 is coming out 3 week before Harry Potter and it's gonna stay at #1 for a few weeks just like the first Transformers did. Ice Age 3 is coming out July 1st too. WB should had kept it in November, not too much competition in November for children movies.
AngelR
I agree J7 - it would have done just as well in the Christmas run up.

larsonsmother
I just read about that on the BBC and was coming over to whine about it... The film's finished and all, they just pushed it back because they think it'll make more money being released next year. I'm completely unimpressed totally unimpressed too!! grrrrr!! On a different note, I just watched 10 things I hate about you for the first time on Sky (the girls have been telling me to watch it for ages) and I loved the film but just felt really, really sad watching it as Heath was just so cute, young and lovely and it just made me think what a waste of a talent. TRXpert
The thing about Harry Potter is... had it come out around the same time as Twilight, it wouldn't have a chance at the box office. Okay, yeah everyone loves Harry Potter! Yes, but the book saga has ended and the movie has been done 5 times already. Twilight is new, the book series is still running, and this is the first movie in the series! It's going to have HUGE crowds, and that would have taken away from poor Harry Potter. So, by pushing the release date back, they probably will be making more money after all. Once everyone's already seen the twilight movie, and the possibilty of a sequel is far off, then Harry Potter can come out of the shadows and reclaim the spotlight. Guested Account
First commercial aired during the series premier of "Fringe" last night. Quicktime HD for ya. 34.8 MB CLICK the reviews of the Trailer are in: from AJ=TR at LCO forums: Thanks J7! I can't wait to see him. I mean the movie. This looks so good...and just in time for my birthday from J7wild at LCO forums: Sean Who? George Who? Roger Who? Timothy Who? Pierce Who? Daniel Craig is the Best Bond of them all!! from Geo at MI6 forums:: Yep, Daniel Craig is deffintley the ultimate Bond, and this trailer is AWESOME! Everything is perfect, Greene looks like he's shaping up to be an amazing villian. He just tells Bond that he knows who he is and he isn't scared of him. Pure menace and class. I was at first skeptical about Ogla's acting, but after this trailer I can see what a great acttress she actually is, and the chemistry between her and Craig seems wonderful. The dialoge seems very well scripted and clever, and that falling through the glass shot is mind blowing! from Jaws is Alive at MI6 forums: More than super cool as one of you put it. Craig is really making an effort 'be' James Bond, in the action scenes, and dialogue, he brings that past Bond we have seen in Dr. No to life again. Ruthless, focused and determined. from RehevkorB at youtube: HHEHEHE. I loved the old style Bond but this is just as awesome.. Guest Fusion
I'm going to see a film on Saturday. I dont know what to see. I want a comedy but there is nothing in the cinema. And going to the cinema is the best thing I can think to do. This is for a catch-up btw with me and a friend, so comedy sounds the best Pineapple express I will only see if I have too. stoner comedy doesn't amuse me. Get smart seems ok could be a bit boring Disaster Movie sounds like the sort of thing I would see but i've heard mixed reviews, mostly bad about how it was worse than epic movie and that was border line OK. The strangers sounds good, maybe not the best film for the occasion though, being a horror. Tropic Thunder sounds awful! What happens in Vegas could be ok, bit of a woman film though You dont mess with the Zohan. I like Adam Sandler never found a film with him i dont like (happy Gilmore scraped through) anyway I dont know if I like the sound of this. Will most probably see this. Anyone have suggestions for other good films, or positive/negative comments about the films I selected? Guested Account
This movie is Crap!! This movie is Spike Lee's answer to Clint Eastwood's Flag of our Fathers where Lee criticized Eastwood for not having any African Americans in the movie yet except for non-combat duty like carrying ammunition and picking up wounded Marines and burying detail and driving landing crafts, African Americans did not have any combat duty on Iwo Jima unless they came under fire themselves in the course of their non-combat duties, furthermore, Flags of our Father is the story of the 5 White Marines and one Indian American Marine who were at the flag raising on Mount Suribachi and for Eastwood to fictionally change the race of one of the characters from White to Black to appease Political Correctness and Racial Equality (according to Spike Lee that's what Eastwood should have done) will be historically inaccurate and disrespectful toward the 6 flag racing Marines portrayed in the film. Strange I didn't hear the Hispanic Leaders of the Hispanic Communities across the United States complain about Flag of our Fathers not having any Hispanics in it. So as an answer to Eastwood movie, Spike Lee made this convoluted, 160min overlong, mess of a movie about African American U.S. Army infantry troops in Italy complete with so many uneven subplots enough to confuse everyone and also lack of technical military advice to the actors involved - who appear on screen as if they never had any military training - unlike the actors in Saving Private Ryan and other recent World War 2 films who had to go through real military boot camp. If you value 160 minutes of your life, stay away from this Crap!! Edited September 25, 2008 by J7Dadda
TRXpert
Spike Lee had a personal grudge against Clint Eastwood. He was trying to cause trouble.

I bet her version better!! Is that song "supposed" to be the theme song to the new Bond film Quantum of Solace...YUK. Not to mention it doesn't even come close to having the type of vibe you would expect from a Bond theme. Hopefully the producers will see enough feedback online and decide to get something else. Ragnarok
About the Bond theme... does anyone remember the theme for the last one? God, what the hell is that? Where are the majestic strings, the blaring brass section, the big female voice, all the dramatic characteristics of a proper Bond theme? Instead of something in the same level as Dame Shirley Bassey singing the fantastic "Diamonds Are Forever" or Garbage doing "The World Is Not Enough" or Tina Turner performing "Goldeneye", we get that made-for-radio pop rock trash designed to appeal to teenagers everywhere. That theme song was a disgrace. I'm not entirely surprised that the new one is, too. Though at least it comes a lot closer to a proper Bond song than the last one. I loved 'You know my name', it was perfect for re-inventing the Bond franchise, imo....I'm not so happy with this new one though, it seems a bit bland to me. Looking forward to the new film, however...hope they somehow manage to implement the theme into the new movie effectively. MsC
Ragnarok
But! But! That is a real Bond song! I'm not against re-invention; matter of fact, I usually have little patience for people who think absolutely everything was better in the past, but like all things, re-invention can go down a good path or a bad path. In the case of the Bond theme, it was the latter. The Bond franchise has always been geared towards commercialism, but the theme songs were one of the aspects where creativity and undiluted, unadulterated talent shone. They were incredible songs. With the last one, they let the commercialism poison the theme song, too. I mean, how many songs are there that sound exactly like the one Chris Cornell did?
