Sicario (2015)

This movie is a hot mess and I don't mean hot as in hot hot it's cool hot!

Critics loved this movie?

What kind of drugs are they on?

The Gift (2015)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4178092/

A good effort of a little psycho thriller.

I didn't expect some of it but when the revelation finally came after the long build up, it could had been more shocking IMO.

3.5/5

The Peanuts Movie (2015)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2452042/

This had a few good laughs in it!

Why is Lucy always so mean to Charlie Brown??

4.5/5

I haven't seen it yet, but I was wondering that during my annual viewing of "A Charlie Brown Christmas."  Poor Charlie Brown.  Can't wait for the library to get this movie so I can watch it.  I don't care if my kids are grown, I love watching Peanuts...I'm prepping for um, the grandchildren...or I've never grown up. Take your pick.

Force 10 From Navarone (1978)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077572/

What happens when you try to make a sequel by capitalizing on the success of a great World War II movie but you are 17 year late?

You get this trash!

:angry2:

2.5/5

Those don't look like any German World War II Panther or Tiger or Panzer tanks I'd ever seen.

This is going to Stink Soooo BAD!

96fbda465521852.jpg

After almost 30 years, this is the best they came up with?

A feminist version of Ghostbusters with the most annoying and talentless actress (McCarthy) working in Hollywood today?

So we had a feminist version of Mad Max.

Now this.

What's next?

A feminist version of James Bond or Jason Bourne or M: I- or Indiana Jones?

I'm gonna hope for the best on this one. I really don't have any expectations on it. The first was the best and the 2nd was eh.

If it has a decent story then maybe the rest will take care of itself. Should be cool effects wise.

I forgot one:

Star Wars Episode 7 was a Feminist movie too!

Guess do we blame?

Bill Murray!

The original cast has signed up for a sequel many times with scripts being written and each time Murray says he is in and then he backs out and it just kept dragging on and on for 20 years until Ramis passes away.

I for one was elated we were finally getting a female Jedi in a lead role.  Looking forward to see where they take this.

I'm really looking forward to Deadpool! Will anyone be seeing it?

I saw it not too long ago, Ryan Reynolds is great as the anti-hero.

After a month, I've finally finish watching all 10 episodes of

Ófærð aka Trapped (2016)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3561180/

Excellent show!

10/10

I find it strange that Iceland police do not carry firearms and the entire country is under one police force.

Watch American TV networks ruin this by making their own version the same way they did with Broen/Bron, Forbrydelsen and Les Revenants.

If those movie studio executives had any brains about what the audience wants in an all female Ghostbusters and what really sell movie tickets, they should had gone with these uniforms:

Deadpool  (2016)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1431045

OMG!!

Is this the most violent comic books to live action movie adaptation ever?

I wonder how many parents took their children to see it expecting another Avengers or Iron Man or Thor.

4/5

Question: what exactly happened in the "this little Piggy went to" scene?

Can someone please PM the answer to me so we don't SPOIL it for the folks who haven't seen it?

It's my favourite movie of the year so far!

I was reading earlier that it's now the highest grossing X-Men film ever...not bad for a film they were never going to make.

I don't understand the connection between Deadpool and the X-Men institute and characters.

From my understanding, it's the Weapon X Project that connects Deadpool.

Wolverine was a subject of the Weapon X Project, this is how his skeleton became infused with adamantium. Later on, the Weapon X Project conducted more experiments using Wolverine's DNA, which contained the healing factor -- this is where Wade Wilson (Deadpool) comes in.

Deadpool's healing abilities manifested because of a cocktail that included Wolverine's DNA and forced mutation. So, while Deadpool isn't directly involved with the X-Men, he is connected to the X-Men universe by Wolverine and the Weapon X Project. He does join X-Force at some point, which may also have a film in a few years.
