crunch
Spiders a great to give you a chill down youre spine. I dont like them too. But i am in doubt about this game. We are jused that the camera is behind lara. And if i looked at the screens it's like the camera is high above her. Maybe it's nothing but it is a point that i dislike. Also i dont know if i wanna pay €15 for it. What are you all gonna do??

Also i dont know if i wanna pay €15 for it. What are you all gonna do?? Keep in mind that this isn't Tomb Raider 9. This is one of TWO projects Crystal Dynamics is currently working on, so if you don't like it, don't worry. Tomb Raider will return with the camera angles we all know and love. Also, the only price revealed so far was 15 dollars. I would hope they'd use currency exchange to determine the price of the Guardian of Light in your currency. I don't know the actual Dollars to Euro exchange rate at the moment, but I'd imagine it'll be around the 10-12 euros area.
BPanther
At the moment, 15 dollars is about 11 Euros. Not much! I think it will feel a bit weird in the beginning and we'll try to do all the wonderful moves the normal games offer us! But once we get used to it, should be fun! It will keeps us entertained until the proper game is out! And if this is with digital download, they might be using Steam? Always good! Tom@LCO
It would appear that Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light is exclusive to Steam, featuring as it does the complete suite of Steamworks tools. Steam Achievements, Steam Leaderboards, Steam Cloud Saving, Steam Stats, and Steam Anti-Cheat Protection are all utilised in the as-yet unpriced Steam release, which appeared on Valve's store earlier today: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is the first ever co-op multiplayer action/adventure game featuring Lara Croft. This brand extension combines the hallmarks of the Tomb Raider franchise including exploration & discovery, platforming, and puzzle solving combined with character progression, fun fast-paced combat, and elements of human cooperation and competition. Key Features: First downloadable only title from Crystal Dynamics, and first downloadable only Lara Croft game. A classic formula of puzzles, combat, exploration, and breathtaking visuals put through the lens of an isometric fast-paced gaming experience. A wide range of options for solving puzzles and traversing deadly environmental traps, offering players an unprecedented level of freedom to choose their own solutions and explore various paths through the dense jungles of Central America. Crystal Dynamics' proprietary engine delivers sprawling environments with no load-times and unbelievable vertical gameplay through tombs reaching deep into the Earth. Face off against a myriad of undead warriors brought to life by the evil Xolotl, including a number of boss battles that are not to be missed! First ever co-op multiplayer action/adventure game featuring Lara Croft. Fully cooperative online and offline story mode. Shrensh
Thanks for the info Tom! I'll have to install Steam onto my new computer then. I wonder if I can still remember my login...

My God, that's huge for a game like this! Anyhow, thanks for the information, Tom! Ah well, looks like I'll be stealing my brother's Steam account again! Or maybe he can get his sister a late birthday present... MsC *Added Platform Download location information*
AJ=TR
I think that even though my new computer has Steam installed now, and can run it, I'll still get it through my PS3. I'm not looking forward to the spiders, but that one puzzle where she has to roll the orbs around looks interesting. It'll be weird with 2 characters, but who knows, maybe that'll be cool. I like the camera view from before, but maybe there are other camera views at times, and these are only the way the camera looks during certain scenes. For $15 bucks, I don't mind at all. Especially considering I've paind $30-$50 for games I never finished because they stunk.
crunch
@ MsCroft: I know that this game is not part 9. I will think about it. 11 euros isn't very much thats true. When the trailer comes out next friday i will think about it again. Edited May 12, 2010 by Crunch
Mike
You will only play Lara in the single player mode, which will be a different experience. Only in Co-Op will you will able to play Lara or Totec (and rely on teamwork).
Deryk
I wonder if Alison Carroll will be donning a new Lara outfit to promote the guardian of light. That I would like to see. Back to classic colours. :-D I'm very pleased that Keeley Hawes is still lending her voice to Lara. She's by far the best. I hope she stays for forever!
