JD_Zen Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Nice, I would love to share the TR3 gaming with you But, I already started and finished the India and Nevada levels. But I am always taking lots of screens to share later I am playing TR3 and all the rest of the games because it's now like a tradition. You can check it here: Gratz Mute2Conversations, I read your haiku and it was really good ;D Quote
Mute2Conversations Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 @JD_Zen--thanks! @CaityFM--I'm on Facebook. You can find me two ways. One is under my real name Jessica Gray...unfortunately, there are a lot of Jessica Grays. I'm a white girl with long brown hair--there are balloons in the background. The other way is to type in Sheridan Medicalcoding and look under the Friends area--I'm there too. I don't know if this helps: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/profile.php?id=100000782026924 Right now I'm playing GOL--but later I might see if anyone is interested in playing one of the other TR games with me--unless there is a group play for GOL or TR3 coming up. I have to admit, I've become addicted to these group plays. It makes the game so much more fun! And that is the only downer in regards to winning the GOL--most people apparently aren't Xbox people, and so I don't have anyone to play with. I feel like a child on Xmas morning, and I can't talk about my toy...because you know, spoilers. But when there is a group play, hopefully it will be just as exciting the second time--or whatever time around it is for me! Quote
Marluxia15 Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Hey guys! Well, to start, this is really Helion555. That username is universal, forums, games, XBL, etc. But while playing XBL with it, somebody pronounced it as HE-LION. That sounded kinda weird, so I transferred to a new account with a cool new Avatar (TY. Picnik!) for any of you who are familiar with the Kingdom Hearts series. But in regards to a new co-play session, of course! I'm up for anything. GoL would be fun, come Sep. 28th. My Gamertag is Marluxia15 for anyone who wants to play with me And congrats Mute2Conversations for winning the contest (how delayed is this?). I entered too with the haiku: Lara hunts lost loots, In tanktop and muddied boots, A tiger! She shoots @Stella- The contest was really cool. Not only did I get to read Lara Croft poetry from other fans, but I was also able to learn a bit more about haikus! As a writer, it was interesting to see first-hand what a really good haiku looks like, and compare between mine and the really good one. I'm sure it must've been hard for you and the other judges to pick as there were some really good haikus on your blog! A Tomb Raider 3 Group-Play would be fun! My copy of that wasn't demolished by siblings, so I can easily plop it in and get started now. Whenever GoL dies down a bit, I think that'd be a good time to do it Also, for GoL players, there's a thread on TRForums: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=169258 where folks are putting there PSN ID's, Gamertags and Steam usernames to play GoL together when the patch comes this September. I'm there (Marluxia15 respectively), but I'll start a new thread on this forum where you guys can post your information (given you want to play) as I feel much closer to you guys! Wishing you all the best in Central America, or wherever it is you're adventuring with Lara right now! EDIT: Nevermind folks. I don't have permissions to start a new topic with my new account, so if someone else would like to, or if you just want to post them on this topic, go for it! rosinna Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Hi everybody!! =D So I finished the game!! Yay!! So let's get onto the game play shall we? Floating Islands: Stats: http://www.twitpic.com/2gxiv2 I liked this level! =D The whole time though I kept thinking that everything was covered in green screen sheets. I think that's the director side of me taking over. But doesn't it look like a bunch of green screens? I do not like the sparkelys though. That's what I call the statues that come alive and fly at you, 'cause they sparkle. I tried to blow up as many of the statues as I could before they came alive. If you shoot 4 grenades at them then they blow up and you don't have to deal with them. So yaddah yaddah, got to the zip line part. I love the zip lines so I was excited. I was kinda goofing off during this part so I died a bunch of times. See I was coming up with a parody of Miranda Cosgrove's "Kissing U" called "Hitting U" and thinking of how funny it would be to make a video of a guys singing "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry while playing TR. So I was kinda distracted. I didn't like the room on the other side of the zip line though. Well I was going about it all wrong. IN the room with the darts, slicers, and piss colored water, I was trying to jump over the slicers from the hallway. Where you're supposed to come out. I tried that for like half an hour. Fail. The rest of it was easy. I have to say I kinda cheated near the end. See in the room with the sliders and the two doors and the two statues, I only had 3 grenades left and I wanted to kill the statues before they came alive. So I used the all weapons cheat. Then I had 5000 grenades! =D That's the only cheat I used the whole game. Unless you count blowing her up 80,000 times during the game. Dragon's Lair: Stats: http://www.twitpic.com/2gxpmm So I was very cautious in the beginning. I was walking everywhere incase the dragon came out. Then I just ran right up to him (after saving). It only took me four tries to kill him!! =D I was a little disappointed though. I wanted to stab someone with the knife and I never got to do anything with it. =( Home Sweet Home: My first thought was, "Think your robe is short enough Lara?". But then I just ran around screaming die the whole time. After getting my items. I don't like the shotgun so I was sad that that's all they gave us to kill them. I was trying to corner jump up to the top of the gate but it didn't work. The ending was funny though. I love how she just laid her gun right next to the shower. Great way to end the game! And the song at the end was awesome. I jumped up and jammed out to the whole thing while my parents just laughed at me. Here's the end stats: http://www.twitpic.com/2gxsdn I was sad that it's over. =( I really enjoyed doing this and getting back into the swing of TR. And this was my first group play and I really enjoyed it! =D Now I wanna play GOL. I just hope it comes out for a platform that I can play. :/ @Stella I'm totally in for a TR3 group play later in the year! =D Just let me know when we start!! =D It may be a little harder cause I'll be in school but I get homework done fairly quickly so I think I'll be good. @Mute2Conversations Congrats on the contest! =D I thought yours was the best. @CaityFM I'm on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1212048512 my mom and I share one, I'm the daughter half, I'm on Twitter too ( @rosinna18 ) but I mainly use that for backstage iCarly info. Even though I'm done I'll still read everyone's posts and such. =D Happy raiding! Quote
CaityFM Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 @rosinna @mute2conversations yaaaay I found you guys lol! ---I promise I'll finish TR2...eventually....I just started the 10th grade today and I ALREADY HAVE GEOMETRY HOMEWORK. OMG. but I should be able to squeeze in some lara time. anyone going to that rally in DC? Quote

Mute2Conversations Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 @Marluxia 15--thanks! I liked yours too! I only know Kingdom Hearts by videos someone on YouTube does with them. They did two songs I like--Tears From the Moon and A Kiss from a Rose using Kingdom Heart footage. What do you write? I'm currently trying to get a children's book published. However, I didn't realize that Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer wasn't public domain...and I had to do a rewrite. It is a Christmas story. @rosinna--thanks! @CaityFM--you think you have it bad? I was on vacation, which ended today, and I had seven tests and ten case studies that I had to code that were due. Today was the new term, and I couldn't go because of a problem that arose at the last minute. Then my internet didn't work, so I couldn't send my homework to my teacher. (SIGH)...it has been a lousy day. But GOL helps! By the way, if you guys want training preparation for the new game...I suggest fighting big--very big--baddies and any situation where you get swamped by baddies. You are going to need it. Quote
Marluxia15 Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Hey guys! @Mute2Conversations- Well, I actually centralize my writings on Tomb Raider. This summer I created Hunter's Tomb Raider Tales (as Hunter is my real name), which is a fanfiction website. To visit, the link is in my signature as posting a link in my post is against the forum guidelines... I have out three tales, some short other long. Two of which are part of a trilogy, and the third which tells the tale of Amanda Evert as she searches to become a new woman beginning directly after Underworld. There are two other story pages on my site which are works in progress. One is called Winston's Tale which concludes the trilogy and tells the story of Winston's secretive past, and the other called Deep-Sea Drama, which is a short story I'm entering for a fanfiction contest on Tombraiderforums.com! The site is still a work in progress, and I have lots to do, but it's getting there. I have an official blog (also in my signature) which I'd love for anyone to follow. It will give you news and updates on my writings and all of that cool stuff! That's great that you're writing a children's book. Completely off topic here, but my Uncle Darby wrote a children's Christmas book a few years back that he got published. I'll look for a name for you! @Stella- If you didn't see already, I found some suggestions for when you are ready to update your GoL walkthrough. They're on your Facebook page when you want to take a peek. Sorry if it's a bother as I know you still have to finish the walkthrough. But on the bright side, it's looking great. Everything is easy to understand and presented in a clear format for the confused player to find a solution to that one hard trap or impossible-to-find artifact. I am currently searching for the final artifact in the Spider Tomb level, and it seems to eternally elude me...I've played that level about ten times now just to find it!!! Best of luck in writing the next level guides! And I'm playing through Underworld later to try and find the solution to the Master Speed Demon problem. I'll keep ya' posted! @CaityFM- I start school tomorrow, so I'm doing as much writing as I possibly can today (taking my time, of course). I'm going into the 10th grade also, just for fun! I have classes like Physics and Algebra II and such. A busy schedule is ahead of me. Trying to balance between Tomb Raider and school will be tough as I haven't done it yet, but I'll just have to do my best! @Everyone- Well it looks like the TR2 Group Play is about over. It's very sad for me, as I found it was one of the best gameplay experiences I've ever had in a Tomb Raider game (as I haven't played Co-op on GoL yet...). I hope we can play GoL with each other eventually and maybe do the TR3 Group Play smoetime this Fall! Wishing you all the best raiding experience! -Marluxia15 Quote
Mute2Conversations Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 @Marluxia--cool! Sounds interesting! I'll take a look. I have to admit, Winston is actually one of my favorite characters, and I always thought there was more to him than meets the eye. I've thought about writing about Lara, but I haven't had any ideas just yet. Natla is my favorite enemy, and I thought it would be neat to write a history about her. She rules peacefully with her brothers for years and then one day builds a bunch of mutants and overthrows them. Of course, she stated her reasons in TR1...but was that all there was to it? Amanda's evolution from naive adventurer to bitter person is interesting...though depressing. I always wondered how finding out that Avalon wasn't the perfect place with King Arthur's knights would affect her. I've been proud of myself that I've been able to figure out much of GOL by myself, though I miss a few secrets. I like my spear and it is still my favorite weapon, but the grenade launcher is becoming quite useful now. Quote
CaityFM Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 :@mute2conversations woah. I can't wait for college.. haha! @marluxia15 sweet. I guess we're getting old, huh? haha! my AP bio teacher's making us make ecosystems. eco. systems. I played some Legend today, it was fun. as usual. the conversations between me, lara, alister, zip, and sometimes even winston, reached some awkward points. THEN I plugged in Underworld and argued with natla and amanda, and wished lara would have just killed amanda. you know she'll never give it a rest! *sigh* the one time lara DOESN'T shoot everything that moves. Quote
rosinna Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 @CaityFM lol at "the one time lara DOESN'T shoot everything that moves" So this is just an update to everyone. I wanna play GOL but I can't yet. I just got a Steam account (under the same name, rosinna) because that's the only platform that I'll be able to play GOL on. But it doesn't come out for Steam until September 28th. =( *sigh* So I'll just have to wait until then. I did get "Real Myst" (which I can't figure out yet :/ ) and "Mission Runway" to occupy me. "Mission Runway" isn't working though. It keeps saying that it can't find some .dll file and Steam support hasn't gotten back to me about that yet. It's a fashion game that looks fun (I'm really into fashion, don't know if I've mentioned that before ) but all of the girls look like drag queens. Lol. ;D And I can't get my "Destroy All Humans!" game to work on the PS2. =( Well that's about it. Talk to ya' later! =D And if you have a Steam account let me know. =D Quote
Mute2Conversations Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 I just finished GOL. It was sweet! I think I'll go onto TR8 until September. If Stella doesn't start a group play for GOL, I will. I'll post here and on Facebook if I do. I am down to my last two AA batteries for my Xbox controller--and I don't know if I'm going to have to buy a new one anyway. That middle X button seems to be permenantly depressed. The Xbox is getting a lot of action. I was playing GOL and Lego Harry Potter. My mom is also addicted to the Lego Harry Potter. In fact, I wound up buying it because she was making herself sick trying to finish it before our game pass at Blockbuster expired. She came out with a headache, bloodshot eyes--one was twitching. But she is still playing several hours of it. I also recently bought Lego Indiana Jones 2, because it was only $20.00 at Target. I checked it out--I have to admit I was very perplexed. It doesn't seem very much like the first one or as user friendly. However, I did start getting into it. Quote
Eve3Faces Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 If you're looking for Tomb Raider games, there are new and used ones available at Amazon.com. Seems like there's always some avilable. Quote
Stellalune Posted November 28, 2010 Author Report Posted November 28, 2010 Such a festive holiday theme here on the forum! Meanwhile, I'm still plodding along through TR2. Added a bunch of screenshots to the Offshore Rig walkthrough today. Man, do I hate being beaten by burly guys with sticks. Many of you have probably already tried this fence bug variation. It's been around for years, but I thought I'd share it here just in case. Outside the fence at the top of the tower near secret #2: Details and a short video here: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR2walk/details/offshore9.html Quote
Stellalune Posted January 1, 2011 Author Report Posted January 1, 2011 Still working my way slowly through the shipwreck levels. Added 100+ screenshots to the Wreck of the Maria Doria walkthrough today and thought I'd share this one with anyone still reading. As you probably know, you can shoot the sharks and barracudas through the trapdoor in the ship's bridge. The bad news is they can bite Lara back. Ouch! Learned that one the hard way. EDIT: And now this. No textures whatsoever in the Living Quarters. No wonder those poor sailors want to hit anything that comes near them. They must be so bored living in these quarters. Quote
hippo Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 ah good old TR2 and TR3, i play them very often still because THAT is the tomb raider games i fell in love with. kinda of a shame that you guys are already halfway going trough the game i would love to have joined in, but i guess i am too late.
