Since Legend has come out in Europe, and soon to come out in America and the rest of the world, I thought I would start this thread to help people as they gradually make their way through the game. This saves a lot of threads being posted. After my post you can ask questions and give advice and have a general discussion about the Bosses.

If you have not finished the game yet, I suggest you don’t read much of this post. Just read the Information you want. You have been warned.

Could someone please inform me of the buttons for the other Platforms, apart from the PS2. I am a PS2er and don't know the other controls. If you can, that'll be great, thanks.

Ok, so lets kick off Takamoto

This Boss should not be too difficult. It’s a good first boss of the game, and you should enjoy the simple ness of it. (Though, I guess that’s a matter of opinion.)

1. When the cutscene has finished, Takamoto is on an upper level. Run to the back of one of the four statues to escape the automatic turrets, and climb up the pole at the back. Jump back onto the level Takamoto is on.

2. Bring out your pistols and start shooting Takamoto. He will send out various different types of attacks. He sends out High shockwaves and Low shockwaves. These can be avoiced simply by jumping or rolling. Or you could take shelter behind one of the statues.

3. Remember to keep an eye on your health and Takamoto’s health. When you are closer to him he will sound out a vertical more powerful shockwave. This can be harder to avoid, so be on your toes.

4. If you die, don’t give in. Just keep trying. Overall, its not a very hard boss. You’ve got quite a lot ahead of you.

The next boss you will encounter is in the Ghana Level – James Rutland. This boss is a little more complex than jumping, ducking and shooting.

1. Quickly, start shooting him, and keep the button down.

2. Rutland will lose health as you shoot, and will jump quickly onto one of the four platforms. Here he can restore health. When he jumps up, quickly shoot stone on the front of the platform, and then quickly use the grapple hook to pull out the metal interior. This wil make the platform collapse.

3. You have to do this on all four of the platforms. After the fourth one is demolished, you can just shoot out at Rutland until he dies.

It’s slightly more complex. Rutland only shoots out grenades so they are easy to dodge. But at close contact, he slashes you with his sword, so be wary of that, and jump and flip around a lot as you shoot.

As Ms. C said below, You cant use the various attacks Lara can do such as slide Tackle They generally don't work on bosses, and could result in you losing alot more health than intended. ?:laralaugh

In the level Kazakstan, you will have to fight The Unknown Entity, controlled by Amanda. The Unknown Entity, is not affected by standard weapons such as the pistols etc. so don’t waste time trying to kill it using those.

1. As soon as the cutscene ends, run over into the centre and press the interact button to hop into the magnetic gun.

2. Use the L1 button to grab the monster, and then press the R1 button to throw it into one of the four energy beams crackling between the two spheres round the room.

3. The Unknown Entity should dissapear for a few seconds. Quickly get out of the gun, and run to one of the switches on the walls and press Triangle. Now run back to the gun, and repeat this three more times.

4. Then you have done this, there should be another scene, the sword piece is revealed followed by four more spheres hanging from the ceiling.

5. The aim here is to shoot these spheres so they are all swinging from the roof. Use L1 to do this. Once they are all swinging, the protection around the sword fragment will disappear. Immediately get out of the gun press Square so the grapple hook attaches onto the fragment, and press Triangle to pull it out. After this, a cutscene will trigger.

I personally think that this is the hardest boss you have encountered so far. It may take a few tries, but you will get it. Note that there is a quicker way to do this boss. You could just run around the room pulling the switches if you want.

If you do this, then make sure to keep jumping and rolling to be safe. I think the way I explained above is a much safer way.

The next Boss is quite simple, though can be tricky. This boss is at the end of the England level. Don’t waste bullets on the actual monster; it’s a waste of time.

1. When the cut scene has finished, run to near one of the pillars.

2. Start shooting at the target on the pillar, and you will hear a low bell sound, and orange waves coming from the bell. This distracts the monster for a short period of time.

3. Quickly holster your guns and use the grapple hook to cling onto the lever, and pull it round. This will release one of the caskets, which will hit the monster on the head, which will make it lose some health.

4. You have to do this three more times on all of the pillars. To reach the two far ones, go onto the broken bridge, which extends out into the lake.

It shouldn’t be too difficult. The best advice I can give is to just keep jumping, and flipping to make Lara go faster in between the pillars, and dodges the monsters attacks. After you have done all four pillars, the monster will be defeated.

I certainly do not agree that the Serpent (England) is easy.! If you read my post about such, I have been at it for 3 weeks...!!!......Totally disillusioned and utterly fed up...!!!
