AoD: Wrath of the Beast...help!

Featured Replies

I'm near the end of Hall of Seasons (or atleast its challenge rooms), but the final challenge has gotten me perplexed. I managed to jump the crumbling floor fine, it was even fun to do! The problem started when the floor reconstructed and I got the Earth crystal. I'm apparently supposed to pull two switches on opposite walls to open the massive door I came in from. However, the game's thrown in some rather annoying skeletons to hinder Lara's switch-pulling adventures. I've tried knocking the skeletons into the swirling abyss, paralyzing them, and trying to 'bait' them into the hole by making Lara stand under the waterfall and blasting them back into the hole when they're in the right spot. Nothing has worked. :/

What did you all do to get passed them? Nothing has worked for me.

(Some sites say that dangling Lara over the abyss will lure the skeletons over and they will fall in trying to get you, but the sites also say this almost never works.)

EDIT: Yikes! Wrong forum! Someone kindly move this to "Tomb Raider Legacy" please. Thanks. ;)

I used the shotgun and blasted the two skeletons over the edge into the abyss. Don't get up close on them when you shoot either, that'll only keep them down for a short time.

The times I've done that level I've done it by not knocking the skeletons into the abyss, but by trying to avoid the skeletons and their fireballs and just running to the switches and pulling them, and then running under the water when Lara gets set alight. You do use up a lot of health that way though.

What do you reccomend for avoiding them? I was toying with the idea of running to a switch, pulling it, and backflipping until I get to the other side of the room so I'm almost constantly higher than the flame balls, but I'm afraid that Lara wouldn't clear the abyss with a simple backflip.

If you get across the abyss, those skeletons won't follow you and they don't have that great of range with the fireballs. I forget if they're on both sides though.

I can't actually remember how I avoided them. I think I just ran and hoped I wouldn't get hit by a fireball. I seem to remember re-loading a lot...
