What a way to ring in the holiday season, technical problems!

Anyway, this is what I get when I put in my TR4 disc:

Looks like a normal configuration screen, yes?

Well, it would be, if I had the game installed. I've searched my whole computer for /anything/ related to Tomb Raider 4 and promptly deleted it, hoping that I could fix the problem myself.

After ridding everything TR4 related, I popped the disc back in and it was more of the same.

Maybe I had uninstalled it incorrectly? For the record, the file for TLR wasn't one of the things I simply threw into the Recycle Bin.

How do I convince the game disc that there is no tr4.exe on my computer and that it can install the game?

(Also, I've tried clicking all of the other buttons, including "uninstall", and all they do is close out the autorun box.)

Seems like a previous install of TR4 wasn't uninstalled properly. What you can do is go here and download the program trrc.exe under "Utility Programs". It'll clear out the traces of TR4 that are left on your system and hopefully allow you to install the game successfully. Make sure to only select the option for Last Revelation or it'll erase all the settings of your other TR games.

Another way is to do Start > Search and then type in TR4, and then delete the files that show.

Make sure that it's TR4 and not any other TR application.
