The Art of Tomb Raider

Dreams and Visions Press is proud to announce THE ART OF TOMB RAIDER. This new volume will showcase artwork from one of the video game industry's preeminent franchises, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Concentrating on Lara Croft's adventures in the digital world, this book will encompass artwork from the video game franchise spanning its inception to the latest next generation game, Underworld. The book will follow the release of the next generation game in late 2008.

Among other artists, the book will contain early sketches from Lara Croft's creator Toby Gard, as well as never-seen-before storyboards, concept sketches, production art, and finished renderings. Eidos and Crystal Dynamics are working closely with Dreams and Visions Press to ensure that the legacy of Lara Croft is properly manifested and translated into print form.

What will be included in the book?

Artwork from conception, storyboards, pencil & concept sketches, in game captures, finished renders and promotional art. All console games will be covered including Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2 starring Lara Croft, Tomb Raider 3, Tomb Raider - Last Revelation, Tomb Raider - Chronicles, Angel of Darkness, Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld.

Will the book include the Core-designed Anniversary project?

No.

When can I pre-order the book?

We are now taking pre-orders for The Art of Tomb Raider.

Pre-order reservations are $55. The pre-order price for the book is $110.

The book is available everywhere the US Postal Service or Fedex Ground delivers. All US orders will be sent Fedex Ground and International orders will be sent USPS Priority International.

How many books will be printed?

The print run is limited to only 2000 copies worldwide. The book will be available through the Dreams and Visions Press Website www.DreamsandVisionspress.com.

What are the different editions of the book and how much do they cost?

We are only offering the Standard Edition of the book right now. We are working out details for a Limited Edition of 100 copies. If you pre-order the book but want to be notified about the limited edition please email us to be put on the list. this is a first come first serve.

What are the dimensions and page count of the book?

At this time the dimensions are 9.5 inches by 13 inches and approximately 554 pages.This is a two volume set in a slipcase.

Book 1 covers Tomb Raider through Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness.

Book 2 contiunes with Tomb Raider: Legend through Tomb Raider: Underworld.

This varies depending on the shipping destination and edition that you buy, with a ballpark estimate of $70 US for international and $25 US within the continental United States.
