Resident Evil 6 has been officially revealed, and it is looking fan-flippin'-tastic!

Official Capcom Description -- "It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the Presidents side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire worlds population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left."

Wikipedia Info -- "Not too much is known about the story as of now. The game takes somewhere between ten and fifteen years after the US Government's destruction of Raccoon City,[notes 1] and takes place in various places around the world.

In United States - the President is about to come clean over bioterrorism when he himself mutates into a zombie. Later, Leon is informed by Hunnigan that a town has been overrun, some 70,000 people.

Chris Redfield and the BSAA are in a war-torn China. Chris is seen arguing with a teammember about an unidentified woman responsible for the deaths of many BSAA agents. It is also known that there are bioterrorist attacks taking place at random all over the world."

There is no confirmation of Jill Valentine returning as of yet, but I'm hoping she does. What happened after she was free from Wesker, and after she returned home with Chris? Surely there were complications she had? Questions need answering, lol.

Resident Evil 6 is due to be released sometime around the 20th of November, this year!

Definitely looking forward to this. Leon's back, yay! Resident Evil 4 is one of my most favourite games ever! It looks like they're going for different types of gameplay in separate stories based around different characters, so there should be something to keep everyone happy.

I've already ordered mine! I'll upgrade once a special edition is announced.

Alot of people are debating over the girl with the short blonde hair. Is she Ashley or Sherry? I think it's Sherry Birkin.

New trailer released today. Confirming the blonde girl seen in the first trailer to be Sherry Birkin, first seen in Resident Evil 2. Ada Wong returns to the series, and appears to be causing trouble for the heroes. The first name of the unknown mercenary is still unknown, but as this trailer reveals, he is the son of Albert Wesker. That's right, Albert Wesker somehow found the time to bring a son into the world even with all of his plotting.

The game also has a new release date: October 2nd, 2012

The name of Wesker's son has been revealed -- Jake Muller. He is voiced by Troy Baker, widely known for his work as Snow Villiers in Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2, but Troy has lent his voice to many of our favourites, such as BloodRayne 2, Mass Effect 3, Saints Row: The Third and Batman: Akham City.

The woman seen in the previous RE6 trailer thought to be Ada Wong is rumoured to be named Carla Radames, a clone of Ada, her objective appears to be obtaining blood samples from Jake Muller, who was born with the abilities of his father, Albert Wesker.

The woman shown working with Leon in the first trailer is Helena Harper, voiced by the talented Laura Bailey, who we all know best for her role as Rayne from BloodRayne. Recently, Laura has worked on Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 as Serah Farron, Oriana Lawson from Mass Effect and Female Voice 1 in Saints Row: The Third. Laura also voices another Resident Evil character, Angela Miller, of RE: Degeneration, and the upcoming RE: Damnation.

Roger Craig Smith returns to his role as Chris Redfield and Paul Mercier to his role as Leon S. Kennedy.

I've just realised that the PC version will probably be using Games for Windows Live, so I guess I'll wait until it goes on special for £5, because I loathe and despise GFWL and refuse to pay full price for that rubbish.
