My first go was on scaredey-cat setting.  Now trying "One with the Jungle".  How exactly does Eagle Vision work here?  I couldn't quite understand the descriptions of the differences.  So far, up to the end of Cozumel, Eagle Vision does absolutely nothing even though it can be activated.  I am not even sure it does highlight waypoints but don't have the game in front of me.  Does it end up being the same as on scaredey-cat setting, just needs skills to be purchased?

I haven't tried the hardest difficulty setting yet, so I'm kinda guessing here. Hopefully someone else will know more. The Eagle's Sight skill reveals Artifacts, Monoliths, Treasure Chests, Archivist Maps, and Explorer Backpacks in Survival Instinct, but I assume since you don't have Survival Instinct, this is useless. The Eye of The Eagle skill lets you use perception herbs to make all animals and natural resources glow. That's independent of Survival Instinct but doesn't show beacons or manmade collectibles. Eye of the Eagle II adds human enemies to the things that glow.

Ah, thanks, that's helpful, I didn't use any of the herbal mixtures during the first go, except healing at one or two points so I didn't find out what any of those did.  I still don't understand what focus boosting is about, I don't recall reading anything in-game to actually explain it, boost what focus?  Does it increase the saving grab timers and things like that?  I'm only guessing but the endurance effects presumably extend breathing underwater and reduce damage taken, is that about right?

Okay, I just got "Owl's Vision" which highlights general stuff (animals, plants, etc).  That's probably the thing I was wondering if it turned up, and it does.

Deadly Obession: Surival Instinct completly disabled (if I remember right)

One with Jungle: Slightly less version of the above  .  Both OWJ and DO pretty much need Owl Vision;  though (not 100% sure)  Deadly Obsession affects Owl Vison"

Focus Plants: Slow-mo when Aiming

Perception Plants: Highlight the life force of living things and plants without survival instinct being used

Endurance Plants: Less damage from bullets and stuff.
