Reaching the animal trials in my 2nd playthrough, I once again wonder this question: What does water have to do with Jaguars??

I know Jaguars can swim, but they prefer ground and tree canopies instead of rivers and water. Even the ones I see at the 5 zoo's I've been they pace the grass or laze on tree logs.

The Spider trial I understand; climbing up walls.

The Eagle Trial I understand, dodging huge azz blades while tight rope walking.

The Jaguar.....one long underwater tunnel........what the frizz??(cookie to who know what game Frizz is from)

The path after spider leading to Eagle was more Jaguar then the actual Jaguar Trial

 

 

Only jaguar connection I can see is hiding in the water weeds from the eel down there is similar to a Jaguar stalking?

I wondered that myself. My theory, which I will soon be putting forward in the walkthrough, is that it represents a trip through a jaguar's digestive tract. The eels are like stomach acid...or something. I don't even know. ?

Tape worms maybe? LOL. 

Though I think Lara may think that theory kind of smells ?  LOL

the digestive tract idea seems reasonable as she goes in through the mouth but then we need to think about the exit from this section and, um, well . . .

Haha.  I'm never looking at underwater tunnels the same ?

There's a mural just past the door with the jaguar mouth, before she jumps down into the water.  It does show the general route, well, sort of.  I looked at it for a while and think the hindquarters of the jaguar are on the left of the picture, the spider and eagle are in the middle, the mouth/entry on the right.  So the spider/eagle combination is the Incan interpretation of a xenomorph that burst out of the jaguar's chest/tummy.  Only logical explanation, wouldn't you say?  So Lara is going to meet one in a DLC pack.  Quite probably a Predator, too, as they like jungles.  Maybe even Arnie or Danny Glover.  Not Sigourney Weaver, though, that would be a silly thing to suggest.

Haha. Lara would have a somewhat heads up with the hide with mud thing .

But IDK.  Jaguar trail still seems wierd xD
