i was 3 when i started playing tomb raider. my unckel brought home the first tomb raider game. he would play it for hours then.... i finally got my chance to play i LOVED THE GAME

at the age of 8 i could beet my unckle at every tomb raider game they made : scence than i have been adictid to tomb raider

I played for the first time when I was 8 or 9. One of my friends had a playstation. I didn't really get into it until I was about 13. I saw the first movie and got back into it after that. I still can't believe that it's been 10 years of TR! lol.

i started at 8 with TR:4. then i bought TR:6. and then i saw a TR:Legend poster and went nuts. i reserved it and then bought it. then i got lost artifact and an XP compatible TR:4 for my inspiron|9300!!! yay me and now im 12.

I was 31 years old in 1996;

I traded in my Sega Genesis CD 32x Game Console for a new Sega Saturn and I was looking for a game to go with it.

There was this life size cardboard standee of Lara holding two pistols with the slogan that read:

"Sometime A Killer Body Is Not Enough"

Remember this was before Lara was even on the Sony Playstation 1 or on the PC!!

I didn't know who Lara was or what Tomb Raider was and I never heard of the game at the time so I took a chance;

I am so glad I did!!

The first night I played it, I was on it until 7 am and ended being late for work!!

I was 22 or 23 when I first played Tomb Raider. A friend of mine gave me a pirated copy of TR3, and by the end of the first level I was hopelessly addicted.

I started to play it when I was born!!!

hmm - i was about 34 i think - have played them all in order - i started with TR1 which i bought in a sale and got totally hooked

;D I was 26 in 1996 when TR1 was released.

At that time Tomb Raider was really a stand-out game. Graphics wise it was superior to the 1st person games that were about and it was one of the first games to use 3rd person perspective, and not surprisingly it caused quite a sensation !

I'd just been on a two week cruise in Egypt in the summer of 1996, and when I saw the box for TR1 sitting on the shelf at the No1 spot in PC World in November I just had to purchase it....

A game with an Egyptian theme.... It was perfect !

I was hooked... big time ! Instead of going out to the pub I would be at home infront of the PC fighting T-Rexes or solving some infernal puzzle. Rushing home from work to play.....

Needless to say each time a new TR game was released I was there on the day of release to purchase and begin a new adventure ! (and have played them all in order)

10 years have nearly passed and there's nothing like a new TR game to get that "Christmas" feeling back that we lose when were children. I may be classed as an "oldie" but TR keeps me "young at heart" and hopefully if they keep releasing the games I'll still be playing into my 80's !!! :

Its nice to come here and know all these other people just as obsessed as I am because all the people I know personally really don't like it too much. Im lucky enough to have found one other.

I was also of that age ^^ I remember buying TR1 plus Unfinished Business for a fair price because TR2 was already in the shops.

I started around when I turned 30, I think. It was right when the first TR movie came out on DVD. I played the demo from the extras, and got TR3 for PC soon after. Come to think of it, it was my only DVD, which I bought the day I got my first DVD player. Yikes...I was destined to be a fan from day 1, lol. I switch to PS2 when AoD came out, then bought #'s 1-5 for PS1 after I beat that. And, believe or not, I never even knew what TR was until I heard about the movie coming out. There's just nothing like playing TR!!!
