I was just wondering if any one would like to start an RPG based off the games, except that this time, instead of just Lara, we could have a group of explorers? This RPG will be based off the story lines of the games. Anybody interested?

I wanna join! Since there are going to be a group of explorers can we only bring in made up characters? Well thats you choice... But yea i love rpgs.... WOOT!

I'd love to see this get off its feet. It's an idea I've had for ages, but with my limited faith in the seldom visited RPG board, I never attempted to kick start it.

Definately count me in! We should advertize it in our sigs or something to pump life into this forum.

Wonderful Idea Von Croy. Now only made up characters, none from the game. No special abilities, no powers, and no powerful artifacts. Remember, we are trying to stop the baddies from getting them. But, this RPG will be about TR one except with a group. So yes, we go to Atlantis, Rome, Peru, and Egypt looking for the Scion. Now, I will be the head of the expidition.

Go ahead and start making characters. Mine:

Name: Elcrone

Skills: Sword fighting, gun usage (But prefers swords), and a great Martial Artist

Gender: Male

Background: Has worked with the CIA ever since his parents were killed by a planned fire. He joined in hopes of finding the killer but has yet been found. Elcrone has been in very bad situations before but now his skills will be put to the test. Once while he was in Romania, he found a sword that was told it held magical powers within it. To this day he has yet to find those powers, but keeps it with him at all times.

Age: 28

So go ahead and start making up some characters and once we get enough people, i will start it. Also, we need at least two people to be bad guys. i will be one but we will still need one or two more

So, let's get this thing started

Also, If anybody would like to add this to their sig, then that would be fine. I will post the rules when i think of them. The more the merrier, so please come and join!

2. No interrupting to say hi to someone

3. No one kill posts, such as killing an enemy, only minor enemies

Background: Zak has always been a fan of ancient mythology, so he naturally wet himself when he heard evidence of something of Atlantian origin, called the Scion. After joining the newly formed team of archaeologists, Zak learned that another set of people had evil intentions for the Scion. However, Zak was relatively calm, since this revealed that the Scion was not ordinary artifact, and that he was in for an adventure. Learning that the legendary Lara Croft would be joining them was the icing on the cake. Zak had to begin searching right away, and was the first one to reach the summit at Peru...

Gender: Female

Abilities: Chasity is a fine gymnist, but has no experience in firearms. She is also a good swimmer.

Age: 17

Backround: Her father died of cancer before she was 3 so it never really bothered her much. Her mom worked in a pharmacy, but is now working as a receptionist in a restaraunt, which means her income is little so Chasity took up the job of dog groomer since she loved animals. When she finished highschool she wants to become a vet.

(How is she connected to all ya'll fine archaeologists? She will meet up with you guys once you start and she will leave her mother and jobs behind. Why? Because she thought her life was too ordinary and she needed to spice it up. She also wants to put her skills to work for other than just competitions. )

Background: Felicity was orphaned as a child, and was left to the streets by her drug-dealing parents. Her motto has always been 'Fend for yourself'. She was brought up by a homeless martial arts expert. He taught her all she needed to know to defend herself, but he died of flu. Before he died he told Felicity of a legendary artefact called the Scion and his dying wish was that she would look for it. That was 5 years ago, and now she has finally found the entrance to a tomb connected to the Scion. In those 5 years, however, she became a police officer and earned some serious money.

Appearance: Blonde shoulder length hair and attractive face. Sporting some shorts and a comfortable top.

Great. Hopefully this will be a great RPG!!

The Scion discovery

I had worked with the CIA for several years, five to be exact. I had spent most of my time in other parts of the world and knew enough to know what was out there. One day my Supervisor came to me and asked me if I would be willing to look for a certain artifact called the Scion.

"What is the Scion?" I asked.

"It is a powerful artifact that will destroy the world unless you get a team together and stop a woman by the name of Jacqueline Natla. She has her heart set on this and has already hired someone else to look for it for her. get down to Peru and find it as soon as you can. Here are some files of some people that you can call if you would like. They don't work here so be careful," and with that I left.

I picked up the phone, "Felicity Swann, NYPD, how can I help?"

"We know about your parent's deaths..." My face became contorted,

"Who is this?!"

"That," The voice was groggy and was obviously being masked by a voice box, "Is not important now. Come to 2nd near the station and we shall tell you all you need to know." The phone went dead. Having a high level of interest was my weakness.

"Steve, I'm going out a sec' for a cig."

"I didn't know you smoked...ok, be back in 10." I smiled and grabbed my coat.

The street I knew so well was worsening with each year. Gum on the floor and occasional bloodsplats. Buildings covered in rot and wallpaper peeled away.

"In here," The voice came from the dark alleyway. I walked in. "Welcome Miss Swann. My name is Rodriguez...Antonio Rodriguez."

"Ok Bond, whatever, just tell me what I'm here for." The man was covered in shadow.

"This," His hand reached out from the shadows and passed me a photograph. On it was a picture of a circular Artefact. Underneath it was the name 'Scion', "This is what killed your parents."

"An Artefact?"

"Which we know you have!! Hand it over Miss Swann!" A gun came from the shadows.

"WHAT? I don't have any idea what you are talking about!" My eyes drifted towards the trigger. The man's finger was tightening around it. A moment before the shoot-point I moved my body towards the man and took a side step left. I grabbed the gun and pressed a button on it's side. The magazine clip fell to the floor, but in the heat of the moment the man hadn't realized. I let go of him and raised my hands. "OK, I give up!"

"Too late," He pulled the trigger, "WHAT?!" His eyes hit the floor where he spotted the clip. Instantly I jump kicked him in the face and hit his nose point-blank. A satisfying crunch came soon after and so did some claps.

"Well done Miss Swann," I spun around.

"Who are you? I've had enough already."

"I'm a contact of Miss Natla...but enough about that. Search her!" Two armed men searched my pockets and then shook their heads at this woman.

"Ok..you don't have it. We've already searched your house and bank so unless you can trust a friend we don't know about I guess you don't have it."

"Have what?!"

"The Scion Miss Swann. Years ago, your parents told a drug-dealer they were in possesion of the so-called Artefact and were killed for the information. They said they had passed it onto you after we promised them some drugs but obviously they were lying...some explorers they were."

"Explorers?"

"Ahh..I've said too much..but we can trade information of course..for a small price. Get us the Scion and get your information." My inner exploring child leapt forward at the opportunity and also for information on my parents.

"Fine...I'll do it..."

"Great! The plane leaves in 2 hours..get packing!"

I went down into my office and began looking through the files.

I found a couple of people and sent the an email saying that I would pay them handsomely if they were to come.

I sent one to Zakk, who replied right away and said he would leave the next morning.

I sent another one to a Chasity and she said she would meet me in Peru.

And another i sent to a Felicity Swann-Togo. She said she would meet us at the sumit.

I then went home and began to pack my gear. My Knifes in each boot, a sword slung over my back, and my two guns.

Later the next day I had reached Peru and began to look for Zakk, Felivity, and Chasity. But i couldn't find them, even though I told them to meet at the Gondra Resteraunt. i hired a guide to take us to the sumit once I found everybody.

The Peruvian wind was bitterly cold. I knew that I should have invested in a thicker coat. Perhaps, if this 'Scion' thing was truly powerful, even if it existed, my stingy days would be over. However, knowing my idol, Lara Croft, I knew that she would get all the glory anyway. My thoughts lightened as I noticed that the only footsteps crushed into the thick snow were ours. Lara had ran late. Elcrone (what an odd name...) interupted me as he began to speak. "We should have packed explosives." He said coldly (in more ways than one) as he gawked at the massive stone door that overshadowed all of us. I cut him off.

"My God. What wonderful symbols." I said as I peeked above the door with my binoculers. Above the sill of the door were five symbols that I had never seen before, but looked Mayan or possibly Incan. All had stone circles raised from them, barely fit into their holes. They must be buttons. "Explode the frigging door before opening it huh, Elcrone? You're setting up quite an odd personality." I said as I waved upwards at the symbols. "Hush. I don't want a nuesence tailing me this whole journey." He said as he tried to climb some icey rocks up the side of the door. "And i certainly don't want a pyro." I requiped, as he slipped and fell from the rocks.

"Are you alright?" Falicity said, as she cradled Elcrone's bumped head. "Very. However, I wouldn't mind staying like this for...a few more moments." Falicity threw his head off of her knees. In the time everyone else had spent fooling around, Chastity located a rope from the guide's backpack and started her climb towards the leftmost symbol. A rumble shook the summit and I feared that we might descend to our demise from an avalanche. "Don't be such a sissy." Elchrone said, noticing that I was bracing for impact with my hands in front of my face. "Let's get started already." I said, removing my hands from my face. The doors were now wide open and only looming shadows awaited us.

Okay, I am going to be making another threade for the RPG. That way we can use the other one to discuss it. Sound Okay?

Background: was a normal kid with except for his luv for ancient myths. one day his parents who were killed by assasins...they were found out to be undercover special foorces agents..so he his bound to find the killer and find sum ancient myths along then way.. with the help of his grandpas in heiritance and hpes to meet up with Lara as she sent him an invitation after hearing tht elecron and sum other guys were also searching for it... so she decided to help him with his assasin if he helped her

hey everyone! Merry Christmas! ! I am so sorry i havent posted my character... but i will soon i am just very busy! Sorry again!

Name: Vennesa Bristoe

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Appearance: Vennesa has a body carved by angels. Well so says her father Danni Bristoe, but he's her father and is supposed to say that. Vennesa has lightly tanned skin and so called perfect curves. Her hair is long and brown with blond hilights. When out with her friends she has her hair loose but it usually in a pony so it is out of her face when she is cheerleading. She likes to wear anything that makes her looks good but her usual deal is tight clothing when in warm weather and baggyer clothing when in colder weather. Her eyes are a deep brown and her lips a natural pink.

Personality: Vennesa is a great person to be friends with. She is nice and loyal to almost everyone she meets but is not scared to stick up for herself. Although she is nice and all she does have a small attitude problem at times. If she is in a bi*chy mood and you disagree with her it will be as if all hell breaks loose. All I can say is... HIDE! Anyways, Vennesa is not a violent person... Most of the time... As said she can be the nicest person you can be with. SHE CAN BE YOUR BEST FREIND... OR YOUR WORST ENEMY.

Background: At a young age Vennesa was introduced to self defence by her father. Danni always thought that a female should always know self defense. Her mother, Debra, started to depart from Vennesa as years went by. At a young age Deb was so aggrivated by Vennesa that she wanted to smash the car into a brick wall. But the thought soon left her as she left the family. After black belt of self defense Ven's father pushed her to private karate lessons and gymnastic lessons. Vennesa did a fantasic job at making her father proud. She kept it up as she moved onto Cheerleading at the age of 15 in high school. She fit right in at the private school. Everyone had money did a lot of the things she did. She was happy. Vennesa always dreamed of become a top model though. She had a great look. A pretty face. And her body language did most of the talking. So why hasn't she started modelling? Her father is the reason. He does not like the idea at all. He then pushed her too hard after her three years of using her sais(weapons) in karate. He asked her to start with the "real" weapons... Actual guns! Ven had never really liked guns and to have her father push her that hard... Vennesa packed a minimum of her things in a nap sac and ran off in the middle of the night.

Well, even though we are having some problems with the RPG, hopfully it will run smoother later on. But we had to break the Ice somehow..lol

Okay to tell you about why I am wierd. Elcrone wants the Scion to control the world.

I'm a little confused about "playing other characters."

I really didn't make any character do anything significant, I just had a little discussion with a few of them. Typing some of their text seems harmless, but I can understand if I had typed out a huge scene with a death-defying stunt or something involving them. So if I make them say something it still counts as playing them?

I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just confused. I got a PM from someone saying to not play someone's character again which I hadn't (or atleast I thought). Some clarity on the "playing other characters" rule would be nice.

Like I said in the RPG, I think we should make it clear whether someone minds it or not. Demon_Knight made the RPG so at the end of the day it is up to him. So..I propose we say whether we mind or not here:
