Well, I'm busy with TR1 at the moment, and at the speed I'm going at the moment Anniversary will be out round about the time I finish it

I played around with 4 the other day. I think it has to be the HARDEST TR for me..

some of the levels are pretty hard, but ive played through it recently and know what im doing on it now so dont find it hard anymore. the only problem is the crappy ropes they put in, when you have to swing to another one, it glitches and always pushes me to the right so no matter how i face it i always land in the same place, its actually impossible to jump to it from my game so i skip the level to appear at the bottom (and miss a secret) and go back so im at the bottom of the room and havent really skipped anything, if thats alright with you guys il have to do that next time.

....aaaand I forgot to take a pic of my stats.

I took around 15 minutes, got all pick-ups and secrets, and used no medi-packs (why would you on the first level???)

To spice things up a bit (and to keep me from falling asleep from playing this for the third time in about a year) I'm going to take lots of pics of the level and analyze them, usually with comments laced with sarcasm.

Oh dear...however will Lara accomplish her travels with only one leg? Werner just stares at her stump. Such a caring and compasionate tutor he is.

I wanted a pretty swandive shot but noooo! I always manage to snap them juuust after Lara gets done with her "I'm flyiiing!" swandive pose. Grrr. Also, I was underwater for a good minute and a half and Werner didn't come in and rescue me. I could've been dead for god's sake! Mommy and daddy Croft will get an earful of THIS adventure! Hmph!

Ooh, look Lara! A flying rotten arm! By all means go fetch it, since you jump at the chance the collect gold-plated heads! Sicko.

Werner, you lazy old fart. Look at what you've gone and made me do. I've gone and broken my neck, ending my life at sweet sixteen in some godforsaken tomb, because YOU were too lazy to swing across a small gap and pull a switch! "My weight will set off traps..." my arse.

Not only did you risk my life MULTIPLE times in the last level, but now you're challenging me to chase you through trap-laden gardens just so you can gloat when you beat me. When you get eviscerated by some Parisian psychopath in say 25 years, I will dance on your grave, you old windbag!

Race For The Iris

a.k.a STOP CUTTING THE BRIDGES OH MY GOD!!!!

Fifteen seconds into the race and Lara is already dead. This level is going to be a pain. Again, the windbag COMPLETELY ignores the quite loud sound of guts being cut by blades; he just jumps over my corpse.

I know the old bat wanted to beat me, but did he have to CUT THE BRIDGE AWAY?! I think Werner wants to kill me.

Okay, now I'm SURE he wants to kill me!

I ran around this room for a good two minutes looking for something to do, and then I find a climable block RIGHT IN MY FACE. I reloaded the game in spite.

This massive stone head (resist the urges, lara! Resist the urges! It's too big to steal anyway!!!!) nearly shoved me down into the warthog pit because of it's crappy oversensative collision detection.

Teen Lara is a strange one. Her voice and appearence make you want to punch her teeth out, yet she is fluent in Sanskrit, and can even translate when a good chunk of the text has crumbled away. This makes me wonder what the *boop* Lara does in her spare time. Who learns SANSKRIT?! of ALL languages she...oh yeah, the level...hehe.

"I don't consider triggered entombment part of your average childhood tea-party."

She fails to mention the numerous spike pits, deadly pig-thingies and rope bridges that old farts like to cut down.

There's some forshadowing nonsense with the old windbag telling Lara that she is not "The world-renound archaeologist adventurer Lara Croft." at some point in this scene.

ive finally had to use health packs in the catcombs, when one of them ghost things chased me for ages but i think ive got pretty far without any!

im now up to cleopatras palaces, and it glicthed when i got up to the place a gold lara is made so i couldnt climb the monkey bars. damn this game, it also keeps glitching now and then triangle and x dont work

I'm stuck in the Catacombs.....I can't seem to navigate the rope swing, I miss the second rope every time and Lara dies..... :(

Update....I made it across and saved right after that, I'm not repeating that part again...

I remember that rope jump driving me completely crazy. Try aiming slightly to the left of the second rope, I found that sometimes helped.

I'm in the process of playing TR4 atm. I am only on the first level though, just past the puzzle with the lit up symbols in the floor.

I never really played it when it first came out, I was sure I couldn't possibly win the race against Werner. I was right it seems, but I dint know it didn't matter

I like the bump mapping on the PC version, it makes things look dark and mysterious...
