firstly I would read the manual back to front to make sure I understand the moves then maybe play or I might just leave it for a few days. but When i play i wont be bothered with the storyline i'll do what i normally do look for bugs and get up to the highest point and swan dive into water. maybe test out these death animations

11 years of playing TR I have never read the manual!!

First thing I'll do after I get it is rip the box open so I can install it (after I get home, of course). I'll have a quick look at the manual while the game is installing, otherwise I'll just rely on the in-game training (it shouldn't be too difficult to get the hang of if it's like Legend). And I'll be squeeing every time I recognise something from TR1

Sounds like a brilliant idea to me

Take the game out of the box, put it in the CD ROM, think, take it out of the CD ROM, place it carefully back in the box, and bang it hard on my head since I didn't play TR1 yet...

I couldn't play TRAE before TR1... but I'd keep the copy until I'll buy TR1 off E-Bay one day

But seriously, the first thing I would do is play in the mansion for a few minutes, then adjust the controls, try to play a bit in the game and, like fusion said, I'd jump off the highest place I could find. It's so so tempting.

I bet that the mansion is locked just like in legend it appears that i am the only one who is buying it on ps2 its much easier than battling with the system requirements and when it doesnt work the customer service emails and . too much effort.

yeah i would start at the mansion aswell i think... and if it is locked just like Legend, maby finishing the first level would open up doors LOL, so i will play the first level it'll be an easy one... i played the "caves" level like a thousend times in TR1.

im buying it on ps2 aswell if i get money. so il just put it in that and play it. il probly look thru the manual at some point not at the controls though i never do

Me neither...I may even buy another PS2 memory card just for this game and keep it in the game's memory card holder that is in the case.

Play it,of course. The only thing I read in the manual is to learn the controls.
