I didn't buy the Tomb Raider 8 yet but I heard that Larson is back and its familiar to tomb raider gold but a new version???!!!

What is going on did Larson die? Is he Immortal? Must he die 3 times in his life? Is his life likes the cat have 7 lives? What is going on please anybody explain the story and the game to me please!!! Or you can give me any website to lookout!!!

It's not Tom raider 8. It's Tomb Raider 1, a remake to celebrate the 10th Year Anniversary of Tomb Raider 1, using the same engine as Legend. So, it's the same game ( with some new things, of course) and of course Larson is in it.

Crystal Dynamics and Eidos don't have any plans to re-make any TR games besides TR1 (I think someone from CD or Eidos actually said that they won't be re-making any of the other games, but I can't find a source). I wouldn't mind seeing TR2 re-made though.

When I played Tomb Raider 1 and then saw him again in TR5, I was really surprised about this and thought 'wait a minute! Why are those two still alive?! I thought they were dead from TR1!'

I'm surprised that this Tomb Raider Anniversary decided to give Larson, a complete change, I would scream badly to see him wear those awful clothes off TR1...that red jacket and blue jeans, yuck!

Personally both that Pierre and Larson retire quickly before they get too tired of Lara shooting them all the time.

Since they are "rebooting" the franchise, they can do whatever they want. In reality, Tomb Raider 2-6 has not ever happen. TR:A, Legend and it's sequel is now the current "storyline", if you get what I mean. They have chosen to keep those characters (Larson, Pierre, Natla, etc), I doubt we see characters from TR2-6, like Von Croy. But we don't know that for sure.

First of all, Larson never died in the original Tomb Raider. After you shoot him down and take the Scion, Natla said and I quote "Left Larson sucking wind, eh?" So therefore I take it that Pierre never died either. That means that the Rome Levels of Tomb Raider Chronicles took place after the original TR1. And btw, Pierre died there in Rome, they never said Larson died. As a matter of fact, I was given the impression that he survived TR1 and Chronicles.

Also, I recently read on a thread on tombraiderchronicles.com that the people at CD said they MIGHT make a remake of TR2, but they're not sure yet. Also it would most likely come out after TR8 because they have to start working on that first. (This isn't confirmed, but I suggest you do some google research if you're that concerned with it. Don't let this make you think that they absolutely ARE making it because I really don't know. Lol)

I think they should go for TR 8 next and give us a treat in between, like TR 2. I would definitely like to see that game with the new engine!!

It doesnt have a tomb at all in the hole game. so in my eyes why not remake that one.

It was a failure so remake it and see if its good then.

Thats a really great idea!!! Tomb Raider 6 must be re-mark and add some of tombs would be good, not using all the levels as tombs, but some of it!!! Hope they are going to re-mark the Tomb 1 Gold Unfinished business also!!! I really like to replay it using a new version!!! and also hope if they are going to re-mark other Tomb Raider numbers, they will re-mark they're second part also like The Golden Mask and Lost Artifact I going to be really just a GREAT GAME!!!!

First of all, AOD is the reason Core was fired, I don't think Eidos or Crystal Dynamics want to touch AOD with a 40 foot pole. Not to mention it was already made on PS2 with good graphics AND a lot of people absolutely hated AOD, the other games were MUCH more popular, and I think they'd like to focus on those first.

I must confess that i do not play AOD much. infact almost never because i dont like it very much.

That's not a bad idea to re-make AOD because I don't mind the game, just that there's no tomb in the whole game .

I got AOD for Christmas, but I hope they do re-make because that was bad...I hated that Krutis guy mostly because what was the point in having an extra character when Lara's perfectly fine on her own.

I hope they do make a new version of AOD, and I didn't know that the company Core got fired just because of the game...sorry if I get that part wrong...also I'm going to have agree with the ones who hate the AOD that there should be a re-make and this time don't put a character that's difficult to control or just stick with Lara by herself.

LOL Lara does not have to be in a tomb to find ancient relics, thats not exactly what Tomb Raider is about like i said Lara doesnt have to be in a tomb... the TR games are mostly about the relics she has to find. so it doesnt matter if she is in a tomb or in a city skyscraper. and TR AOD does have some tombs, the one tomb where she goes into at that digsite in the museum... and all those tombs where she has to collect all those earth ellements like water, fire etc.

it would be nice if they would make a remake of that gae, it's not that i hated the game so much... only all those things like that meter that is running empty when Lara is hanging on a edge... and those sorts of things, but besides that the game was okey i did liked the story though.

AOD not having any tombs in it is a common misconception. First of all, it has a few tombs, even if they are underneath the louvre in Paris. And also, in Tomb Raider 3 and Tomb Raider Chronicles Lara was in cities.

And as much as I'd love to see an AOD remake, I think Crystal Dynamics and Eidos are both trying to stay away from the whole AOD idea, otherwise they would have continued the storyline. It was my understanding that the point of creating Crystal Lara and the TR Legend engine was to take the game in a different direction than AOD was heading.

Personally, I don't think AOD was a bad game, I rather enjoyed it, even though it was hard to control and it had bugs and Kurtis was a bit of a disappointment. I'm sure that if AOD was remade, people would replay it and possibly love it. But I'm not sure everyone would be willing to replay it, in fact, many fans may look at the fact that it's AOD, and say "oh no, not again, I'm not wasting my money on THAT!"

I hope that with time, maybe all of the originals will get remade, but that leaves AOD at the end of the line, and we still have the Legend storyline to continue, let's not forget about poor Amelia. If we keep playing remakes she'll be stuck in avalon for eternity. Lol

yeah your right about that. it was, ofcourse, a very logical choice to do a remake of TR1 for TRs 10th anniversary. and i dont think that there will be any remakes either, the rumors that pop up sometimes about another TR remake, i think, is just a wish of some fans. and TR is doing good at the moment again, doing remakes would only bring TR down and if that happens TR will come to an end sooner or later not to mention what a waste of money it would be for both CD and Eidos when something like that happens. and there has to be a new story line for TR anyway in order for it to survive, i mean if they want to keep the selling numbers up for the game.

sure it would be great if there would be some more TR remakes, would love to see TR 2 and 3 in Legend engine... but i just stick to my point and think they should just resume making new TR games with new story lines and not have so many of Lara's enemies from the past into present games, i mean eventually what would be the fun of it if Larson, Pierre and or Natla would keep returning in every TR game?
