Does anyone know if there is goin 2 be a new tomb raider movie comin out?

No one knows if or when there will be a new movie. There have been rumours of a third movie, but nothing at all has been confirmed.

i beleave Angelina Jolie signed for two TR movies wich she played in... but i saw a picture yesterday in a magazine of Angelina with her baby Zahara, now i don't know if it is a recent picture and it may sound a bit stupid but i noticed her hair has grown very long so maby she is growing her hair long again to resume her role as Lara but ohwell guess we will see if there will be a third movie intime.

In the paper Angelina Jolie is "nude" and "sprayed" gold she has been computer generated "for her upcoming role in the film Beowulf." and yes she has really long hair in a plait so maybe after the films over maybe she'll be lara Croft. But that would explain the reason for her growing her hair and not for a TR movie

They change Lara Croft models every year why not change the actress for the movie? I'm up for someone new anyone else?

Although Anniversary Lara is AJ. AJ doesn't act like Lara or look like her in the films. I suppose it's the films there not very tombraider like. In the games it seems lara runs back and forth flipping switches and jumping on beams swinging and sliding down ledges and grabbing poles. what ever. The films are not very detailed with action. Maybe we need a lara that is 'capable' of doing this maybe we need a lara looking gymnast

hmmz i think Angelina does good as Lara... i dont know why but lots of ppl just dont like her or something.

sure the Lara in game does do way much more things than the movie Lara... but if they would make a movie exactly like the TR games and making her do everything Lara does in game, they would have to make like a 20 hour during movie LOL so i dont think that would be such a great idea. BTW why would Angelina not be a capable Lara because the action scenes are not so very detailed as the game you say... thats not Angelina's fault, she doesnt write the story etc etc for the TR movies and all who knows, maby Angelina is capable of doing all those things as Lara from the game.

and who would you like to see as Lara in the next movie? i'll just stick to Angelina, but i think Rhona Mitra would make a good Lara aswell... now i dont know if she would be such a convincing actress as Lara cause the only movie ive seen with Rhona is Hollowman but imo she does have the looks to be Lara though.

I heard if they DO make one, it will tie into the Tomb Raider: Legend II (8) storyline.

ooh that sounds good but that might kinda imply that legend II wont be the end of the avalon quest thing or maybe a continuation of the end

I suspect it will be a computer generated AJ that she can manipulate with her movements at great distances.

It's suspected it will not take place in exotic locals (all England) in favor of more flashbacks.

A clue is in Tomb Raider Legend with her friend Amanda.

Expect it around 2010 (give or take).

It's true that the TR movies aren't very TR-y but I think the fact that Angelina starts in them really helps... They sell because of it... this is my opinion... I loved the 2 movies although I prefer the 1st of course!

well yesterday i was on planet lara and i made a thread saying there's going to be a new TR movie! and almost every one on the site cam eand got all exited! well aparently the thing that i read about the trird movie was made about 2 years ago-so i got every one exited for no eason at all. one person ruind it for all of us!-they deleted the thread after we found out the truth!

Terribly sorry to burst everyone's bubbles, but unfortuanatly any plans to make a new Tomb Raider movie have been scrapped. The studio wanted to make a thrid movie movie, but when AJ said she didn't really want to do it, plans were taken off the blue board:

Maybe they have decided to do another one, without Ange however. But it sound like it's not really happening.

IMO, I'd be a bit thankful if they didn't. There are so many really good movies out there that have been spoilt by sequels, ie the American Pie series, Shrek and all the Disney Princess movies. They should just leave Tomb Raider alone in terms of films.

AJ doesn't want to be Lara? Too bad. She was good at it.
