I'm stuck! I need either one more gold bar or I need to get one out of the statue!!

Hello Swandivechic, welcome to LCO!

You only need three gold bars as there are only three empty slots they can go into. How many bars do you have and where did you try putting them?

There's one slot to the left of the statue's legs, and two on either side of the word "Midas" on the base. The fourth slot to the right of the statue's legs already has a gold bar in it when you start the level (it's there as a clue for people who have never played TR1)

When you put the gold bars into the slots, you should see a short video of the bars retracting from the underwater gate and the gate opening. What happened when you tried to put the bars into the slots? I take it you have turned them to gold and they're not still lead?

O_O what a small world... let me see if i can find an x2 fp... if not, i might pick up this gold... only 20-30 chance of me getting this hehehe... well see...
