Tomb Raider Anniversary Help Zone

In case anyone is in need--or just wants to compare notes--I've posted the first several levels of my Anniversary walkthrough (link in sig). It's still a bit "under construction" but does include all the artifacts and relics, as well as most, if not all, pick-ups. I'm trying not to rush because I want to have fun playing too, but I hope these will be helpful to someone. As always, I welcome your corrections and suggestions.

Have gone retro and playing Tomb Raider Anniversary on the Wii. I have completed the Greek star sign puzzles at the beginning of Lev 5 but am stuck at the freeing the Globe. Whatever I try I cannot get the grappling tool to work in order to pull out the bar and release the Globe. I have been able to use the other grappling hooks on the level and have no idea where I am going wrong.. unless have missed a vital part of the level I am worried it is a bug and I will not be able to progress. Can anyone help?

I'm stuck in Tomb of Tihocan...after I do the two blocks and go back up top is where I'm lost...I was able to go to the left once and get her to grab the bar but fell and had to start over...now she doesn't grab it at all...and I saved at this point but it goes to the checkpoint where she first comes in...

I have recently just got back into playing TR after many years and picked up my Anniversary game. I am a 60 year old female who loves this game and my husband installed my Xbox in my bedroom, so I could play happily without disturbing his tv. All was going so well and I was so enjoying getting back into the game, then came the centaurs! I have read, everything, tried everything but cannot defeat them. My problem is this. After the Adrenaline Dodge, the centaur doesn’t slump, I get the red target on the head, fire and he just tramples over me or ends up behind me. I tried the cheat of hiding in the cave. Ok, So I, like everyone else am stuck on the centaurs, which wouldnt be so bad accept that i've tried loads of help sites and walkthroughs on this part of the game and nothing works! I've been stuck on this part for ages! I have stunned the centaur but i cannot grapple the sheild! everytime I press square the grapplehook comes straight back. it WILL NOT lock on! does that mean there is a glitch in the game? I have even emailed Eidos and they just told me the steps about doing the adrenaline dodge then getting their shields etc. I REALLY need help! Everytime i get them to freeze, and they expose their shields, i CANNOT grapple the hook. Any help would be much appreci…

Hi, Anniversary wont start on my windows 64bit PC. I have tried the following:- I have installed it by right click on D:/setup and install as Administrator I have turn off DEP for tra.exe The Problem:- WhenI try to run it, I get a little CD spinning icon while it checks the CD is in the drive, then about 10 seconds later I get a blank main screen and flashing second screen Anyone can help??? MY PC is windows 64 with all latest drivers and patches (no patches applied to TRA, are there any?) Have two screens 30" and 24" and graphics card GeForce GTX680. Sorry I don't know the checkpoint numbers. I have finished Poseidon, gone through DAMOCLES door and pulled down the block which has not landed on the ring so therefore not tall enough for lara to jump up through (see screen shot) is there any way round this? Thanks for any help

Hi, in these last years i've bought Lara Croft anniversary and also lara croft legend and underworld for PS2. I have problems playing Lara croft anniversary, when i first bought it i was able to completed the game and get the relics and artifcats, then i stoped to ply this game because i had more things to do. A year passed and I wanted to play it again but when i turned on the PS2 the initial movie started to run but then the screen stays black 4ever. I deleted my LC anniversary saves from my 8Mb memory card and then i was able to access the menu to select my saved games (i had none because i deleted them from memory card) i decided to make a new save when i chose to s…

Ok I've tried several times, unsuccessfully, getting past this timed section. I'm on the second platform and I can kill the two winged creatures that come out after you shoot the target that brings out the poles. I can get to the first pole no problem, but after that its a problem. I get to the second one and I can't get Lara going fast enough to turn in the right direction and swing over to the ledge. By the time I get there I have to go back and do the shooting over again. I did manage to get to the second wall run, but I ran out of time and died. I die so much I just turn the game off....I hate being stuck!!

Hi any one can help me to defeat the two bloody horses..... actually i not have joysticks, and i am playing with MOUSE/KEYBOARD.... so i can't defeat the horses. Can tell any one please which button's i want to use point them, i mean after they charge they come near to me, after what to do i don't know.........

To someone who play Tomb Raider Anniversary on X BOX 360. My problems is in Level 5 at checkpoint 13. After Lara Croft at the Hephaestus Switch, after she get across to where the small medipack is and picks it up. How do I get her to grab the Higher ledge? Or am I in the wrong place? So, I drained all the water out so I could kill all the crocs. Now I'm at the very bottom with no boxes to put on the pressure plates and no way to get up to the other levels. I'm trying to use the advice that Stella has on her walkthrough on being in this predicament, but it doesn't seem to be working. I think it's because I'm on a Wii and there is a slight delay between jumps, so Lara is sliding down the incline before she gets high enough to grab the ledge. And to top it off I saved at a checkpoint at the bottom, so I can't go back. UGH! I'd appreciate any advice anyone may have. Really, really don't want to start over again. Hi I am new to this forum. I joined because we cannot seem to kill both centars. I can kill one, but when he dies I can't pick up his shield. The other one doesn't die or get weaker. Can anyone help? We can't seem to do the adreniline dodge to grab the shields from them. Any help is much appreciated.

Having never played a computer game before, Im quite pleased with myself that i have managed to get a couple of moves in, but i cannot dothe grapple swing?? I stand there and press A and flick the nunchuk but it doesnt grip onto anything - i keep getting an arrow and a blue dot - what are these and am i supposed to run, jump and flick all at the same time!!?????? Any help would be appreciated to get me started on this game!! Thanks in advance

Solved the calendar puzzle and floor of ball court opened but I was to slow and one side closed. Went to both calendars to try to reset but Laura cannot budge either calendar. I'm Stuck

After hours of playing here some tips on what to do: 1) Run, fire and dodge the whole time(O+L1+R1). Its harder for them to pick you up with fireballs and green beam. 2) Toggle left and right when they green beam you(L2)(they cant lock on when you do this). Hope this helps. Now the centaurs will get mad as red meter goes up. After they charge, screen goes blurry. Press (O) and you get two circles coming from both sides. When they meet in middle, shoot. Now they are dazed. Grapple their shield(press square). Once you have done this to both horsemen, now all they will do is green beam you. To avoid the green beam, press L2 back and forth, they cant l…

I have been working in beating the big beast and have been having problems with lara crouching down when pressing b to do a head shot. Has anyone noticed this to be a problem? she is nowhere near anything to pick up and it is not pressing y its pressing the b button on my xbox 360 controller. Help!!

Wii version I have defeated the first centaur. I have the shield for the second centaur now because the first one disappeared. I can pillar the second centaur but I can't kill him. The health meter bar doesn't move. Then when I approach him he runs, then freezes. I have to shoot the hand where he held his shield to enrage. I pillar him again and he will not die, the health meter bar still doesn't move. When I reload it just goes back to the one centaur and the same thing happens. This is driving me crazy!!!!!! Please help

Hi i'm new here! I don't know what i'm doing wrong on the Midas Palace level. I'm at the point where I'm in a room with pillar type levels that release fire. I'm trying to get the relic-I know you only have a short amount of time to pull the lever, swim back to the other side, jump across the different levels, traverse round one and jump up then across but I've tried it so many times...and always just fail to make it in time. Is there anything I can do to make it across easier or do it any quicker because it's driving me up the wall? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!!! X

I know, it's basic, it's stupid, but she just won't grapple the ring!!! I've been at this for an hour now... bear with me and I will copy and paste the part of the walkthrough that I'm having a problem with. My exact problem will be in CAPS.... I'm playing the game on PS2... LEVEL 10: OBELISK OF KHAMOON SLOPE-TO-STEPS ROOM: The metal ring on the wall ahead is retracted, so you can't grapple it yet.
