Shaping up pretty good looks like they are going back to 2d side fighting instead of 3d I'm liking the tag team thing makes it possible to play like co-op and 4-player matches. Wish they'd reveal a character Roster.

Mortal Kombat 9 has been banned from retail sales in Australia. Great, and I was gonna buy the Kollector's Edition.

Does anyone know where I can get a Kollector's Edition at a good price? I know GameStop are taking preorders, but I'm not sure if they deliver to Australia, or if they'd be allowed to anyway, since GameStop owns EBGames here.

Latest update on the banning of Mortal Kombat in Australia: Warner Brothers appealed for the game to be given a classification after it was refused one by resubmiting it unedited to the classification board. The board rejected the appeal, claiming that the game exceeds high level violence and gore, deeming it unsuitable to be given the MA15+ classification. Australia's lack of an R18+ adult rating on video games is what ended in this decision.

Is importing an option? Apparently we aren't even allowed that. Anyone caught importing 25 or more copies of the game will have them seized at customs and be slapped with a $110,000AUD fine for importing banned goods. Anyone caught importing a single copy of the game will have it seized at customs and could potentially be fined three times the amount of what the game itself is worth.

That's right, we're not even allowed to import a game that will be used in our own homes for our own entertainment purposes. Now I've played the demo, having had to download it from the US PSN Store (Having multiple accounts is handy, lol) and I see absolutely nothing wrong with the game. It is no different from any other Mortal Kombat, apart from a little more blood and realism worked into it, but I've always wanted to see that brought into the game. I was excited to be getting Mortal Kombat, since Armageddon was supposed to be the last official game, so this has all been a big let down. I feel like the government has basically told me "You can't play that game because it's too violent for you and you can't tell the difference between right and wrong". I think it's time the Australian government grew up.
