Majesco has opened the coffin of the BloodRayne series, unleashing its lethal red head protagonist for a killing spree on PSN and XBLA. BloodRayne: Betrayal is in development at WayForward, the team who breathed new life into the Contra (Probotector) series on DS with the brilliant Contra 4 in 2007. Rayne's first outing since the 2004 BloodRayne 2 on PS2 and XBOX sees her slashing through side-scrolling 2D levels, "Begrudgingly recruited by the vampire hunting Brimstone Society for one final mission, Rayne teams up with a mysterious new friend to stop an evil vampire massacre," details Majesco. Expect new characters, environmental puzzles, and plenty of weapons with which to spill the red stuff. "BloodRayne: Betrayal delivers the action-packed experience franchise fans have been waiting for in a digital format that's also accessible for new players unfamiliar with Rayne's over-the-top, stylized gameplay," said Majesco boss Jesse Sutton.

so a bloodrayne 3? danm, i played bloodrayne 1 and loved it, i looked all over for bloodrayne 2 but never found it, i guess i was too late in buying it so it was off the market. it kinda bugs me that i will be able to play part 3 while i could not play part 2.

BloodRayne 2 was very hard for me to find, and that was when it came out! Luckily, I managed to get the only copy they had delivered at EB Games. You may have some luck on eBay.

BloodRayne: Betrayal isn't a direct sequel to the series, more of a spin-off really. I got my hands on the demo, and I have to say, in my opinion, it's rubbish. Everyone, try before you buy.
