Production kicked off last week on Robert Stromberg's "Maleficent" at Disney Pictures starring Angelina Jolie in the title role of the beloved villain from the 1959 classic "Sleeping Beauty". Angie looks great, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not a fan of this whole fairy tale trend, but this has potential.

I hope this will be better than Mirror Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman; both of those movies about Snow White are total failures!

Synopsis: From Disney comes “Maleficent”—the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land.
