Is it really that big of a deal?

I misread the title and read "Steak Summer Sale".

I am a big steak and potatoes eater and I rushed in here all excitedly for nothing!!

The Steam Summer and Winter sales are the biggest events of PC gaming of the year You can often find games cheaper on other websites, but people like having their games all in one library.

This year Steam introduced trading cards, which you get when playing certain games or when doing certain things in the Steam store during the sale. You can use the cards to upgrade your profile, or sell them to other players in the Steam Market. I sold a bunch of mine and got some Tomb Raider outfit DLC for free, and I also got £1.10 off Sleeping Dogs, which was already discounted to £5

Also, if you check the Steam Store right after the new daily deals go up you can sometimes get games for super cheap if they make a mistake - for few hours on the 13th, TRs 1-6, Anniversary and Underworld were accidentally discounted to 91% off instead of 75%. Bargain!
