Leggo my Eggo is still a thing at a Michigan motel.

An argument over who was next in line for the waffle iron during a continental breakfast at a Pere Marquette Township motel got 30 guests thrown out Sunday morning, according to reports.

It started when two women both claimed dibs to the next waffle at around 9 a.m. in the buffet line of an Americas Best Value Inn, about 90 miles north of Grand Rapids, Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole told MLive Media Group.

One of the women apparently asked the other if she was waiting for the waffle maker and loaded the cast iron cooker with batter when she didnt get a response, Cole said. But the other woman then took exception and claimed the next doughy delicacy as hers, he said.

It sounded like one lady walked up and asked the other lady if she was in line for the waffle maker, Cole told MLive. She didn't answer, so this lady started to make her waffle. The other confronted her and said, 'That was my waffle!' And the other lady said, 'No, it's mine!' And then it went downhill from there."

By the time sheriffs deputies in the coastal town on the shores of Lake Michigan were called to the scene of the breakfast buffet, a large group of guests from Chicago and Canton, Mich., were yelling at each other over who had the rights to the waffle.

The hotels manager asked everyone embroiled in the heated discussion to leave the premises, and the sheriffs deputies supervised an orderly exit from the hotel by the 30 guests after the argument, Cole told the outlet.

There were no injuries and no arrests, as the row didnt escalate to a physical altercation\.

The property manager asked that everyone be kicked out of the hotel," Cole said. "All parties involved were ordered to collect their items and they left.

Representatives for Vantage Hospitality Group, the parent company of Americas Best Value Inn, didnt immediately respond to a request for comment late on Tuesday night. A staff member who answered the phone at the hotel at 5095 W. US 10 confirmed there was a dispute involving waffles but said there was no one to available to discuss it on Tuesday night.

The half-baked argument came the morning after a gas station employee called deputies in the same county when a woman went irate over not getting enough sprinkles on her ice cream!!

My opinion?

This incident is confirming evidence that we need stricter waffle control laws in this country. No one needs an assault waffle or assault waffle maker. No extra capacity waffle magazines or semi automatic waffle makers unless you're in law enforcement or the military or are Hillary Clinton (and in dire need of the protection).

This also proves what happens if there are restrictions on the waffle makers in the hotel. Guests are not allowed to bring their own waffle makers and that needs to end. Everyone has the right to bring their own. A good guy with a waffle maker would have L'eggo the Eggos of these bad guys hoarding the waffles and makers, and this wouldn't have gotten so out of hand. Waffles don't kill people, only bad guys with waffles and makers do.
