The basement looked like it had been neglected for some years. It was dark and dingy, the place was covered with gigantic cobwebs and smelt damp. Stacks of disgarded boxes with the reumball insignia lined the narrow passage way.

"I wonder what are in these?" I mumbled to myself whilst looking inside one of the boxes, the box was soggy and mouldy from the damp conditions down in the basement. All that was in it was old files, recorded data or something. I couldn't make any sense out of it.

"Zat doesn't concern you, leave it alone!" Etienne snapped, snatching the old file out of my hand and throwing it back on top of the box.

"Blimey, whats eating you?" I said walking by him taking no further notice of his outburst, I felt his cold stare following me as I caught up with the others.

"That guy has some serious anger issues, honestly!" I said aloud for him to hear it. Angela turned to me

"I'll say" she said agreeingly, gingerly touching her head throwing him a look.

"Mon Cherie, If looks could kill, no?" He said with a smug expression.

Mileena and Ada were walking side by side "We, ought to move out of here quickly, I don't like the look of it down here, I feel claustrophobic and if we do happen to run in to anything..." Mileena said sounding edgy.

"You have a point, Mileena. C'mon you guys pick up the speed!" Ada called out to us.

We moved on a little further, the path was beginning to spread out when a sudden shuffling noise was heard, Ada raised her arm, we all instinctively knew to stop. "I hear something.."Ada whispered. Our path ahead was too dark for any of us to focus on. I reached into my backpack for a flashlight, holding it up simultaneously with my revolver at head level and pushed the button. The beam from the flashlight caught sight of two enormously large fangs, each of us immediately disburst in different directions to evade the mutant spiders strike...

The minute I saw the light hit the deadly white fangs of the spiders I ran as fast as my feet could carry me. I had no idea where the hell I was going.

I panted as I came to a stop in front of a large bolted door. Behind me there was nothing but darkness.

I said, "Is anyone back there?"

There was no reply.

'Well, I'd better head back,' I thought. I shuddered remebering the spiders.

'Who knows what else was back there,' I thought to myself. I turned to look back at the door. Mabey It would be better just to go through? I looked from the darkness to the door.

'Darn, I was never good at decision making!' I cursed, 'Now if anyone asked for a gorgeous strapless cocktail dress; that I could do.'

In the end I decided to head through the door, it was better then heading back to the spiders. I was positive that the rest of the group would be somewhere near. Walking forward I pulled on the door, but then I noticed the bolts.

"Looks like this gun might come in handy," I saidaloud. I took a few steps back making sure not to stray too far from the light of the door. Aiming the gun, I held my hands steady; If this shot went astray I was dead.

I pulled on the trigger.

BANG

The bullet flew and amazingly hit its target. I smiled and blew the pretend smoke off of the gun's barrel.

"I think I'm getting better at this," I smiled grimmly. I walked forward and pulled on the knob, this time the door opened smoothly,and I walked through into the bright white light.

"Angela?" I whisered through the darkness "Angela? You There?"

I heard shuffling behind me and turned "Ada? Aidan? Etien-- Ah!" I shrieked as a zombie knocked me to the ground and tried to bite me "Ahh! Help me!" I yelled "Someone!?".

Then I heard a door open from behind me. Oh, I hope that's not another one! I thought to myself as I struggled against the zombie. Suddenly, "BANG!" - The zombie was dead. I pushed it off of me and quickly got up, then turned, I came face to face with.......

I faced Mileena as she turned around.

"Ada!" She said, almost startled. She stuttered for a bit, and then spoke. "Thanks for saving me. What were you doing beyond that door?"

"Oh, I was just collecting my handgun. I must have dropped it earlier." She looked at me with an inquisitive look. "Hey, I heard another gunshot over there, someone may be in danger!" I ran off around the corner towards the earlier sound.

"You ok Angela?" She looked at me and her face suddenly contorted.

"Sure, I just got attacked by a freaking hairy beast!" That comment brought a smile to my lips. I offered her a hand, but she rejected it and got up by herself. I placed my outstretched hand to my hip.

"Well then, let's go find the oth-" Two huge legs wrapped around my shoulder. They were hairy, and were immediately followed by two around my waist.

(OOC: Yes, I would, lol )

"Ada!" I yelled as I began shooting at the huge hairy creature, Angela copied my actions.

The distant flash of gunfire illuminated the basement giving off a strobe lighting effect. I could just about see Angela and Mileena fending off a spider. I rushed over as quickly as I could, soon as I approached them with the flashlight everything became dreadfully clear, Ada was at the grip of the biggest spider imaginable. 'This has got to be the Mother or Queen whatever it is, it's the big cheese' I thought to myself.

"Ada!, hang on!" I cried out, I ran towards her squeezing off a few rounds at the spider then I slid across the dusty floor through the monterous things' legs and fired off more rounds at its underbelly. I exited regaining balance on my feet and dived roll out of the way of a flurry of bullets I was greeted with.

Mileena and Angela continued to fire at it frantically.

"It's no use, bullets won't harm that thing!" Angela whimpered. Mileena turned to her with a grimace upon her face, Angela's face was showing defeat. Mileena screamed a war cry."Keep fighting it!... We can't let it take Ada!"

The spider turned its back on us unphased by the hail of bullets we showered it with. It began to mount the wall slowly "No! it's getting away!" Angela cried. "No, I won't let it" I yelled "Mileena catch!" I threw her the flashlight, she caught it perfectly with her free hand. I pulled out a knife from my belt and ran towards the spider before it crawled further up the wall. I dived onto the spider plunging the knife into its back and it carried me up along the wall with it

I started to run after the spider shooting at it, Mileena ran after me.

I had to do something quick before the monterous spider takes us up higher to make a meal out of Ada and I. I struggled to climber further up the moving spider's back to where it held Ada but after a few attemps I managed to reach her. "Ada!" I called out. I waited patiantly for a reply and was beginning to think the worst

till suddenly "Aidan! Do something quickly!" I was reliefed to hear her voice, I felt a grin appear upon my face. "Be ready for this!" I warned Ada whilst I grasped on to the thick hairs of the spiders head wrapping my legs around the smaller part of its body to keep balance. I could tell by Ada's eyes she knew exactly what I was preparing to do "Are you ready?" I asked calmly. Without her reply I raised the knife above my head slashing at the legs which had gripped her. The beast let out a mighty screech releasing Ada tossing her up into the air. As she plummeted down I reached out to grap her around her waist, my legs still locked around the spider. The spider was jerking around balistically."Oh!, She's pissed now!" I yelled. "This time, Are you ready?" said Ada. "Wha..Argh!" I was caught off guard, As Ada fired off her grapple gun towards the ceiling. We dangled there..."What now?" I asked. "I'm thinking...ugh.. and you're getting extremely heavy!" Ada said through her teeth. A thumping noise was heared coming closer and closer. The spider was shuffling up the wall after us at breakneck speed. It was inches away, fangs ready to strike....I turned to hide my face into Ada. I felt something on Ada's belt. "Yes!" I unhooked a grenade from her belt, pulled the pin using my teeth and jammed it in the spiders mouth. Ada released the grapple and we began to fall I still had hold of her. The grapple hook retracted in time for Ada to fire it at another target before we become human pizzas on the solid ground, She'd hit a wooden buttress not so far from the floor. She flipped forwards landing gracefully, I on the other hand fell off just as the explosion shook the entire basement landing ungracefully on my backside...

I watched in slow motion as Ada and Aidan (lolz) were tossed into the air.

"OH!" I cried preparing to run after them, but Ada was a quick thinker and she managed to pull out a grapple. They were now hanging helplessly from the cieling while the spider ran full speed towards them.

"Look out guys!" I cried. I closed my eyes when the spider got to close. I looked back just in time to see Aidan and Ada flying through the air, and a grenade in the spiders mouth.

"now It's our turn to run!" i turned to Mileena. I turned around and ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction. I heard and felt the effects of the exlposion. I was lifted in the air and pushed across the room by an imense amount of hot air. I landed very uncomfortable on my stomach.

"uuuh," I said getting up and looking around. I noticed Ada standing elegantly beside Aidan who was sitting on the floor. I also saw Mileena getting up off of the ground beside me.

"doesn't look like we'll have to worry about that spider anymore," I said relieved, "Where are we anyway?"

"We're beneath--or underground--the Reumball complex. The tram is just over there," I pointed to the long train on thin monorail tracks, "It leads to the underground scientific facility." I looked to the others. "So, let's go!" I walked towards the tram, and brushed my hand across the door. "Hm...it won't open...Mileena, go up those stairs and have some 'fun' with the controls up there. I'll stay here and check if it will open...and if not...there's always the...direct..approach!" Mileena nodded at me, and I withdrew the shotgun slung over my back.

OOC: OKAY now I am really confused. If you guys look back to posts number 24 and 25 they kinda skip something, and what happened to Etienne? can someone explaine whats happend so far to me.

(OOC: I skipped your post by accident..anyway what has happened so far is this: Met Ada, Met Etienne, Ada told you about plan to base facility and catching train first, found elevator, plumeted down elevator, met spider, now found tram to base facility. Sorry Rika, didn't mean to skip your post.)

"Why do we even have to go with you guys," Angela asked impatiently as they waited for Mileena, "It's not like we want to have anything to do with this virius, can't you just tell us how to get out and then let us leave?"

"I can't risk you guys screwing this up for me," Ada replied, "You'll come with us to the lab, then you can take the train to the surface."

"But what about Demi?" asked Aidan, "We can't just leave her down here."

Mileena came running back, "I've tried all that I can but the doors won't budge, looks like we're gonna have to try something else."

"We'll be in there in one second," said Ada as she held up her shotgun.

"I don't zink zat zat vill verk," Etienne said in a smug voice.

"And why do you think that?" asked Angela, already annoyed by the french man.

"because," he glared at her, "This entire facility is made with the most high tech equiptment available. I don't think you're shotgun will be able to make a dent in it."

"Well as far as I know," said Ada, "a computer is hightech equiptment as well. and i'm sure my shot gun can do alot of damage to that."

I walked back up the stairs with everyone to the control panel. I was quite angry that I hadn't been able to hack into this system, and kept mumbling things like "Stupid computer", "Stupid company", "Stupid zombies", etc...

"Fine. Mileena press the red button and as soon as you do I'll shoot this door down!" My eyes rested on Mileena. I had my shotgun pointed at the door and my finger was tense around the trigger. "Ok, go! WAIT! What the?" The door opened and there stood a man.

"Who...are you?!"

Standing there with my guns pointed at this woman, I looked her over to see if she was infected. After indicating that she and the others that were with her weren't, I lowered my guns.

"I'm Elcrone. Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Ada, that's Mileena, Etienne, Angela and....Aidan!" I looked at the man named Elcrone. He stared at us all for an intense half a minute. "Right," I continued, "Everyone in." The others entered the carriage. Angela was the last to enter. I spied something on her shoulder. It was a hole surrounded by dry blood. The hole looked like a bullet had pierced it but it was smaller than any bullet I had ever seen. I entered the tram too, and closed the door behind us. "Ok...um...Elcrone, take the others to the front of the tram and start it up. There's only one route so it can't be too complicated." He nodded and waved the others to follow. Angela made an attempt to move but I grabbed her shoulder.

"Ow!" She muttered cluching her shoulder. "What?" Mileena looked back in worry but I smiled at her, encouraging her to move on. She did and closed the door behind her, leaving me and Angela alone.

"I'm gonna rip off your shoulder cloth."

"What? Wh--" Before she could finish I ripped it off leaving her shoulder bare.

"What or who did this?" She made a move to reply, "I don't need a question back, just answer mine!"

"I was shot!! Mileena shot me by accident, she thought I was a zombie!" I looked at the wound again.

"That's far too small for a bullet!" Angela gasped and looked at it.

"You're right! Wow, that injection really did work." She replied smiling.

"What injection?" My voice rose with worry.

"One Demi gave me! She told me it would heal me faster..and it did!" I grabbed both shoulders and looked her dead in the eye.

"There is no such injection!! The only thing that heals people that quickly is a T-Virus injection! Oh my God!" I let go of her and opened my bag. I withdrew a syringe filled with green liquid.

"What's that!!??"

"A cure for the T-Virus..the Virus which turns people into zombies! Hurry, outstretch your arm!" She did and I used the cloth I earlier ripped to tie around the upper part of her arm. I grabbed her wrist and used the other hand to tap the joint of her arm. Her veins eventually swelled to the surface. I grabbed the syringe and chucked off the safety cap. Immeadiately I placed the needle to her vein and injected her. Angela winced and turned away quickly.

"Ok," I began out of breath, "Stay here for a while." I entered the cabin with the others. "OK, got it started." I looked towards Mileena who was fiddling with the controls.

"Alm--" Suddenly, a large monstrous figure slammed onto the windscreen of the tram. It was disgusting.

It clambered over the roof of the tram onto the previous room. I heard a crash and a scream, which sounded like it was coming from Angela. "Start the Tram!!" I screamed. Mileena pressed the button and we began to move. I sprinted into the next room and found Angela cornered by the monster.

As the door flew open, I was thrown from the tram, but managed to grab on by both hands and wrapped my foot around the wire, thus, aking the tram stop in mid-air.

OOC:AHHH! I don't wanna die lolz well It seems that the obvious choice is to run to you guys, but the monster might kill me. but if i don't it still might kill me. OHhh WELL! lolz I choose #1. fingers crossed.

I quickly ducked my head around the corner to see what was going on "Oh god. Angela!" I said as I grabbed my gun and started to come out.

"No. Mileena, go back and watch the tracks!!" Ada yelled.

"But..."

"No, buts. Go" she said "We've got it covered!"

"Ah..." I said worriedly "A-alright" I finished and ran back.

"Angela, move!!" I screamed as she cowered in the corner. Her body was cowered in the corner, and she made no attempt to move herself. "Move!!" I could see that she had no chance of even moving a limb, so I withdrew my shotgun and pummeled the monster repeatedly in it's back. Nothing was affecting it, and he raised his giant club towards the roof. "NO!" As he brought it down. My body moved itself, and I though 'She needs to survive'. Unwittingly I dove towards her and pushed her out of the way, and the last thing I saw was the swinging of a spike ridden bat.

I noticed that the tram ahead had stopped. I heard a voice, it sounded like "Mileena, go back and watch the tracks".

"Mileena! She's alive!!" Afterwards, I heard a horrible scream and a sickening crunch, which was soon followed by splatters. "What in God's name was that?" I picked up pace and entered the carriage. It had begun to descend down the tracks. Mileena was obviously starting it up again. "Wait up!!" I started to sprint, and at the last minute launched onto the carriage. To my left was a claretted mess. Angela was cowering in the corner with the shotgun near her. "Angela, pick up the shotgun!!" The huge beast of a freak was advancing towards her. "Hey Mileena....Angela," I begun as she stared at me, "Let's take this freak down, I know exactly where to shoot it!"

"Angela, move!" Her nimble face looked to mine and she transformed her body into a backflip appearing next to me. "Way to go!" I withdrew my shotgun and began shooting at the monster. It seemed strangely attracted to Angela, maybe it was the virus inside of her. It's body arched towards Angela's and he began to raise his club. Mileena had suddenly started the tram and it literally knocked us all to our feet, including the monster. He toppled backwards hitting into the side of the wall. His body unwittingly hit a button and this locked the tram door. His club, however, hit an electrical box, which caused the armor on it's face to fall off. "I think I know where to hit him!"

(BTW, you've altered the story seriously lol, and I never mentioned who's death...I'm a sneaky little LCO addict!)

"Aim for his face Angela!" I screamed shooting the monster. Many of the bullets deflected off it's body. I pulled out my shotgun and aimed for it's face, I shot it a couple of times, but it didn't seem to care. "What!? It's not working...I have no idea what to do..."

"What do we do?!"... "They're in there battling that thing on their own!" I yelled with major concern. I ran over to the door leading to the next carriage were Ada and Angela was fighting with the monster. To my dismay the door was locked "Holly crap, the door won't open!" I began to panic. "Mileena can you get it opened?" I asked. Mileena started to work her technological wizkid magic on the control panel, only for it to fail her once again "Dammit, it won't open!, it's a safty precaution". Mileena said with frustration on her face "My guess is that it's for situations like these".

" There has to be another way in" I said looking around the control carriage for ideas, I looked up and found an answer "I've got it!". Above my head was a air vent grate, "I need a boost. Elcrone, would you mind?" I asked

"sure, but what do you plan on doing?" Elcrone asked assisting me, holding his hands in a cup like fashion for me to place my foot on. "No time to explain" I replied pushing the grate out of its place. "Be careful out there!" Etienne said. Mileena looked at Etienne with surprise as it was the first time he expressed concern to anyone in the group and was the first string of sentences he had uttered since the spider battle. "I will" I grunted pulling myself up on top of the carriage..."Don't worry about me" my voice was drowned out by the noise of the tracks and gun fire.

I was on top, and had to make way to the next carriage, I could see the hole were that big a$$ monster b**ch broke its way in. I struggled to get to my feet, focusing on my feet I looked up briefly and to my horror there was a low construction beam heading right towards me, I quickly dropped to my knees to avoid it, regaining my stance I made my way to a gap between the two carriages. I took a few steps back a made a leap across, I landed without any trouble but the worse was far from over. As quickly as I could I moved to the opening on the roof, I lowered my head down into the hole to get a look at the situation below. Ada and Angela was backed up to the door. "Ada!...Ange..!" my voice attracted the attention of the monster, it advanced towards me "Aidan, NO!"...Ada yelled..."That thing's gonna kill you!" Angela cried out. "Get yourself away form it!" Ada adviced.

"What? It was hardly going to make you both a nice cup of tea now, was it?!" I replied sarcastically. Ada was right, I had to take heed to her advice and think fast because that think is getting closer. It swung its weapon for my head, I moved so fast to evade its attack I fell of the roof, thankfully I was able to grap on to the side of the carriage "Argh! bugger!" I cursed my near fatal mistake. Hanging there I had to pull myself up and FAST.I pulled my head up only to be faced with the monstrous creep I tried to get away from. It swung for my head once again, I tried to avoid it and KACHINK! in it doing so I lost some of my grip, I was left hanging by my finger tips with my left hand, luckily my head was still attached. The hammer wielding monster grapped my forearm and picked me up to safty, but this my have some fearsome consequences, this thing still wants me dead, but not so easily. It held me out at arms length and slowly raised it's weapon to whollop me on my head...suddenly "HEY! HANDSOME!". The monster turned it's gaze to Ada who was on the roof with us. Training her gun on the monster she opened fire shooting it in it's face, the monster released it's grip on me, dropping me, changing it's priority on the Ada. Wincing in pain from it's incredible grip on my arm, I had to help Ada rid this thing for good...Lying there, I turned to my side and reached into my packpack, I pulled out a rope, I tied a noose on one end and on the other there was a grapple hook attached. I spied another low construction beam, I slung the noose over the monsters neck and yelled "Ada, drop to the deck". I slung the grapple at the beam. The unsuspecting Monster was yanked away as we passed the constuction beam, thus buying us some respite away from the beastly nasty, at least for a sort time...
