Hi! For any really late gamers like me, I'd like to add that the reason the wooden floor hatch glows when using your Survival Instinct, is because underneath it there is a rope arrow latch to pull it down.  I just found this out when standing under it. Now, I see the gold but because my inventory is full, I cannot pick it up. But I was able to get the mask artifact near it! Yay!! Thanks to you guys for helping me find this area again! So If you're struggling to find the gold in the temple district its actually pretty simple, if you know where to look, When you enter the market there's a male and female kiosk from the male kiosk when you turn to the exit there should be a hut with yellow fabric on it, go to the left and there should be another hut with a make shift roof and some blue cloth, on the other side to the right should be a type of fountain, go through the hut door and through the tunnel till you reach water just before you enter the water way inside, to the right should be a kind of island with what looks like a wall, clime the wall and above you should go straight through the tunnel, you will find the gold and relic in there.
