What If - Using BloodRayne 2 to recreate BloodRayne 1

What If - Using BloodRayne 2 to recreate BloodRayne 1

  1. 1. Would it be interesting if someone recreated BloodRayne 1 using BloodRayne 2's level of the Infernal engine and mechanics? Like with Black Mesa, the recreation of Half-Life 1, using the Half-Life 2 engine. While things like knocking down weaken walls could be done with the kick function and the voice audio and music soundtrack of BloodRayne 1 could perhaps be recycled like they did with the Destroy All Humans remakes.

I'd like to see a proper sequel built on a new engine with the visual and mechanical capabilities we have available now before anything else.

Yeah, but I'm talking about something like with Black Mesa, even from someone independent and with permission, and despite being 2004 it does have great mechanics, even by today's standard, since the Infernal Engine was ahead of it's time, and with doable improvements....doable.... not fancy untested kind which has developers overhaul the game with tons of updates, as well as better skins and constructions, it could perhaps create a better version. Some, when it comes to sequels of a certain game franchise, make the mistake of starting from scratch, when they should have evolved what they already had that's a success, thus sometimes creating lessor versions. While there are some that need to start from scratch, BloodRayne 2 mechanics isn't one of them.

I agree that they should have sequels.  I hope that they continue where BloodRayne 2 left off and maybe have elements from Nocturne depending on what the ownership status is.

Nocturne
