Try a new save slot and see if it saves when you resume the game.

The older games weree definitely different, not necessarily better, but so very different. More climbing and jumps, more finding things and much more solving puzzles. This game is really more like Uncharted, but it is still Lara, and I still like it. Just.....Different.

Thanks for the advice, just what I was looking for. Think I'll try it again later after my adrenalin rush passes from being impaled 15 times trying the rapids. One issue for me is the screen splash which makes it very hard to see the traps!

I guess in playing through I've realized I don't miss the health pack thing. This game is much more like Uncharted (which I love) than the old TR games (which I also loved). So I suppose this is the way the game had to evolve to keep its audience and get new players to try it. I remember getting lost in the early TR games for hours, wandering around hallways and going in circles. There isn't any of that in the new game, and realy the game is more of an action adventure (almost like a movie) than a puzzle/exploring game. That's all OK with me, so I guess my style of play and the games I like has evolved too. Life is Change.

I am about to rescue the copilot but am REALLY taking my time with this game, enjoying the superb graphics, even with my PC which has a few miles on it. As others have mentioned, I have tried lowering the graphics from insanely high to merely high resolution in a few of the outside areas where performance drops off. I play mostly heavily modded Bethesda games and I am so thrilled to be able to change screen res from inside the game on the fly. This is such a plus. I've played all the TR games several times each and I already know I'll be going through this one again!

There is no health bar. The red gory stuff around the screen gets worse as you take damage and fades as you regain health.

Yes thanks. I just figured it out. Duh.....

I have obtained the climbing axe and try to use it in melee combat pressing Y but have yet to see Lara use it. She seems to shove the attacker away and I then shoot them. Am I doing something wrong? Oh, I am playing on PC/Steam using xbox controller. Thanks in Advance. PS. I am an old time player since TR1, and had an account with Stella's Site but somehow my credentials were lost, so this is a new account but I am not a newbie to TR.
