Just had to share... after a whole day spent on one jump, TRIUMPH! Dialing down my settings suddenly made Lara super fast. LOL Thanks so much for the help!

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I thought I had discovered the "secret," that I was trying too hard and should just tap jump and let Lara do her thing, like Stian suggested (that helped me FINALLY swing across to the Galleon at Shipwreck Beach). But then, later just tapping jump dumped me on my butt (like a million times). So, perhaps I should dial down my settings and see if that helps. *crosses fingers* Very very helpful to have a reality check that it should be that simple, tho!

Hi everyone, I'm a PC player, using (laptop) keyboard and mouse, and although I've played almost all previous TRs with relative ease, I'm having a devil of a time with the pole swings of all things. To the point where I may have to skip the Tomb of the Handmaiden after failing so many times to make the swing over to the climbing wall. I was hoping someone might give me some insight (any insight!) on control strategy for the pole swings. I back up for the jump, I stand at the edge, I mash the jump button, I tap the jump button, I mash the E button for the freaking axe, I tap it. Absolutely nothing I do even gets her close, and 95% of the time she doesn't even bother pulling our her axe, let alone hit the wall with it. It makes me for the first time wonder if I should use a controller! egad! /frustrated. Thanks in advance for any insight (and also for not making fun of me for what feels like a ridiculous, ridiculous problem!).
