  1. Hi Harby, thought I was the only 67 year old still into Lara
  2. Having played them all I have to say that my favourite is TR4. Maybe this is because it was the first game I played. The graphics, controls and all have obviously improved vastly since the early 90's when I started and it occurs to me that there could be a market for the early games to be re written in the TR 2013 format. I would love to play a revamped TR4. I appreciate that this has sort of happened with TR1 but I didn't enjoy the revamped version so perhaps I'm talking rubbish
  3. I've reached the beach so I guess I'm about two thirds of the way through. Perhaps a good time to evaluate the game. Apart from the slides and glides, which took me a few tries to sort out I feel it's been pretty easy. Certainly (sorry Stella) I've not needed a walkthrough yet. The graphics are great and the controls over Lara (Xbox) are finally sorted out. I remember Tr 3 and 6/7 where it was so difficult to manoeuvre Lara around. However, I can't seem to get back that first feeling of excitement when I found out that I could make this little figure move around on the screen with the buttons on my pc. way back in the late 80s early 90s, and scary bits when spikes would come up or great boulders would drop down without warning. Whilst waiting for the latest game to come out I've been playing Oblivion/Skyrim where the game goes on for ever if you want and I'm sort of sad that this game, like all the other TRs will come to an end. I wonder what it would have been like to have Lara wander round other islands and keep coming across foes who would re-spawn after a bit. There, that's my two penny's worth.
  4. Thanks folks, all makes sense.
  5. Hi folks. I think I was a Mod on the original forum back in the very early 90's. Then the forum closed and I re-joined at about the time TR4 came out (hence the name) Have played all the games but for various reasons have not needed/ been able to contribute to the forum till now. I would be surprised if anyone (apart from dear Stella, bless her), remembers me, and am working my way through the new game. What a lot has changed since TR1 eh!
  6. Not that I'm there yet but I was wondering whether you can continue the game once you have completed the main story. I'm leaving exploring the tombs for now and plan to explore them at the end of the game but am concerned that the game will not let me go back the tombs/continue to explore once I've finished the quest.
