In the first half of 2008, it had posted a loss of more than £80 million ($159 million). Another part of the problem is competition from Nintendo, which has driven down the price of the games SCi makes for the Sony Playstation. "SCi Entertainment is in need of serious change," said Rogers in a press release. Rogers became chief executive of SCi in January, replacing the company's founder, Jane Cavanagh. In September, SCi had announced that it was in "extremely preliminary" takeover discussions with an unnamed firm. (See: "Lara Croft Has A Suitor") The termination of those discussions, along with a profit warning by SCi Entertainment, spurred pressure from shareholders on Cavanagh to resign, which she did in January. Analysts have said that while blockbuster games like Tomb Raider and Hitman would be attractive to potential buyers, the operational infrastructure of SCi has probably put at least some suitors off. SCi's other problem is that it has a poor reputation for developing new high-quality games. I went out and saw the movie U23D today. It was utterly awesome!Everything about that movie is incredible. The directing,mixing,sound and vid editing, layering,production.....all top notch. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the time. It was maybe an hour and 15 minutes.Other than that it is well worth it. The last time Levy's wife, Kelly, saw Gracie was before she took her husband to the airport. The 24-year-old went back to her house in Palm Beach Gardens late Friday to find the bottom step, where Gracie would usually be waiting, empty. She tore the house apart looking for the cat, who had been spayed just days before. She and her dad took out bathroom tiles and part of a cabinet to check a crawl space and papered the neighborhood with "lost cat" signs. Then she got a phone call. "Hi, you're not going to believe this, but I am calling from Fort Worth, Texas, and I accidentally picked up your husband's luggage. And when I opened the luggage, a cat jumped out," Kelly Levy quoted the caller saying. Rob Carter said he made it home with the suitcase before realizing it was not his — and there was a big surprise inside. "I went to unpack and saw some of the clothes and saw it wasn't my suitcase," he said. "I was going to close it, and a kitten jumped out and ran under the bed. I screamed like a little girl." Carter said that he eventually was able to get the cat to come out from under the bed. "In the morning, I got close enough to see its collar and the phone number on it," he said. "So I called the number and got a hold of the crying wife of the traveler." The tabby made the 1,300-mile trip home on an $80 plane ticket. Carter said he considered keeping the cat before he knew she had a home. "We were going to name it Suitcase," he said.

I think some of this has been mentioned before,but not all of it. http://play.tm/story/15556 Apparently surfaces will add further complications to gameplay, realistic water rendering certain environs dangerously slippery and meaning that Lara will, at times, have to sure-up her grip. Not that Lara's likely to be clumsy in Underworld, in fact, we're told "elegant movement" is one of the dev team's goals. Miss Croft will now be able to cartwheel across beams and wall-kick up ledges. Producer Rob Pavey tells OPM that "the big theme this year is that Lara will be able to do anything that you'd expect her to be able to do." Lara will also be able to use environmental elements in combat, such as a staff picked from the ground, which you can even duel-wield with a gun. Objects like this will also have use in some of the games puzzles and obstacles. We're told to expect plenty of non-human enemies in Underworld, with better targeting, and Lara will also have a motorbike to get her around. Part of the game looks to be set in Mexico, but Crystal Dynamics aren't saying much, Pavey affirming that we'll be visiting "several continents, in places no-one has seen for centuries."

The heroine will start her new adventure in Southern Mexico, the developers unveiled, and will continue the journey throughout the never-before explored Underworlds. The developers won't talk much more about the story of the game, but instead chose to stress out that they "developed a hybrid lighting model that combines dynamic lights with carefully created light maps to make our world look stunning in ways that none of the available methods could achieve alone." Still, it's still unclear whether we're talking about a completely new graphics engine or just a re-worked one. Tomb Raider Underworld is currently scheduled to be released next year on just three platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.

I never actually read Beowulf. The closest I have come to reading it was reading Michael Crichton's novel Eaters of the Dead which was made to the movie The 13 Warrior. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eaters_of_the_Dead There is only so much you can do with live action/props/and live fx effects without cgi to get the whole look that it should. Child's Play Remake in the Works That's right,word is Chucky will be back. http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=1666 While many of producer David Kirschner's recent movies with his partner Corey Siniega, such as the biopic Miss Potter and the upcoming Martian Child, might not necessarily be "Shock-worthy", Kirschner's second film, Child's Play roughly twenty years ago kicked off a popular horror franchise that has inspired many imitations and four sequels. ShockTillYouDrop.com had a chance to interview Kirschner for his upcoming movie where he surprised us by announcing that they were working on another "Chucky" movie, which would be a remake of the original Child's Play. (But surely, we all knew this was coming, right?) "We're discussing it with Don Mancini, who has written all of them with us from the beginning," Kirschner told us. "The next one we're going to do is we're going back and remaking the first one and even pushing it further and making a very terrifying version of the first one, which is pretty scary as it is." "We haven't come up with anybody yet," he replied when asked whether they were looking at any of today's cutting-edge horror directors. "We haven't really discussed that.
