  1. I think she's pretty, and she's fit. But they clearly only assigned her as Lara because of her acrobatic ability. They're showing it off in the pic where her foot is above her head. But other then that, she doesn't have the lips OR the eyebrows, and that really bothers me. She also has similar hair to Karima except I actually liked Karima's hair better, even with the blonde stripe in the front. She also looks likes she's kinda trying to BE Karima with her poses and the expression on her face. She needs to loosen up, mess up her hair a little (no one can keep their hair like that while swinging through the jungles and dodging swinging swords), and try to put more of herself into Lara. Then she'd do better. But honestly, I kinda liked Karima better. But she's alright. I'd like to see her do more photos though. Maybe she can do a little better next time. Oh and BTW, Lara's bellybutton was pierced back in the Tomb Raider 3 days... http://www.larasanctuary.com/clothes.html That's a link showing her outfits. The ring is on her Area 51 outfit. It's also easily seen on the official Area 51 action figure. I don't know how so many people managed to miss that.
  2. Oh you're welcome Emily, and don't feel silly. I mean, not too much. I was stuck on a level for monthes, literally, because of a very similar situation.
  3. Hmm... have you tried hitting the crawl button as you pull up?
  4. In the cartoon Batman changed his voice every time he wore the suit too. It was supposed to make him scarier to the bad guys AND disguise his voice when he's near people who might recognize him. However, when he was talking to Alfred or Lucius, I was like... dude... seriously, they know who you are! Cut it out!!
  5. I realize that I probably fell into the trap of the ever increasing prices of the video game industry... but I bought a PS3 almost exclusively for TRU. They probably made the PS2 version suck so bad that if you WANT to enjoy the game you'll have to buy a PS3 to enjoy it. Meanwhile all the people buying the PS2 one will still be giving the video game company more money, and when they realise that they'd rather have the one on PS3 they buy another copy and the companies make even MORE money. It's brilliant actually, but it's just making games for money and it's tricking the gamers into paying the high prices. I bought a PS3 even with it's high prices and I should have waited for the prices to go down first. Yes, they got me. They get everyone. It's not about the gamers, the games, or even the video game icons(like Lara herself) anymore. It's about money. Just like everything else in the world. However, you're a very lucky person being able to play TRU at all. See because they were going to make it for PS3. Most games ONLY come out for the PS3. The fact that it's coming out for both PS3 AND PS2 is a miracle and you should be glad that you get to play it all. What if they didn't make it come out on PS2? Then you would be forced to buy a PS3. And in that case... we'd be having a completely different discussion right now. And believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I've had that discussion thousands of times.
  6. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
  7. I could totally see her playing the part of Catwoman. That would be really awesome! And it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Catwoman in the next Batman, as a matter of fact, I hope they do have Catwoman in the next Batman. I highly doubt anyone would try to make another separate Catwoman movie after the Halle Berry incident. That wouldn't be a very wise career move on Angelina's part either.
  8. Whether or not we believe in God doesn't define whether or not we're good people. How we act defines whether or not we're good people. I just thought I should point out that there a few people in this world who don't believe in God, whom I'm sure are much nicer people then some who DO believe in God. And vice versa. There are a few people in the world who believe in God, but think that they are so righteous that they begin to judge other people, and I believe God would say that it's not right to judge other people. I believe in God. I don't care if you do or not. Yes, I'd like to know that there are a few people in the world who agree with me, but it's not my place to change anyone's mind. IN fact, God might find it more pleasing to see that I'm friends with everyone rather than someone who's hated for pushing my beliefs on them. With that said, there are some people in the world who are just so ignorant and stubborn that they misunderstand what's "human nature" and what's a sin. Those are the people that annoy me. As for this woman who didn't want her daughters because they were girls... that's just mean. They should be loved by their Mother. And if they aren't then they should be put up for adoption and the woman should pray that Angelina Jolie is the kind-hearted soul who adopts them.
  9. I actually saw pictures of Rhona Mitra on the internet the other day, and I'm really starting to like her too. And Lara Wellar is pretty awesome too. But I like Rhona more then I like her.
  10. Tomb Raider: Anniversary Reflection #1) I Play TRA On PS2. #2) TR1 original had Save Crystals but TRA kept the Checkpoints like in Legend. What is your opinion on this? Do you think this was a good idea? It would have been more like the original with save crystals, however, the check points are very convenient to use. Either way, I would have been satisfied. #3) Out of the following new features that were presented in TRA, Which of the following was your favorite and least favorite? - Wall Run - Adrenaline Dodge - Balancing Over Poles Although I like the concept of the wall run, it took me forever to figure out how to jump back off the rope. It also took me awhile to figure out the Adrenaline Dodge too, but once I mastered them both, I enjoyed them. The adrenaline dodge did become a tad bit repetitive though. Also, which one did you master the fastest, and which one became a little bit more complicated for you to get use to? Balencing over poles was easiest for me to master, and I really liked this feature. #4) Interactive Cutscenes made a return, YAY or NAY? If NAY please give a brief explanation. Interactive cutscenes made cutscenes more interesting, though it wasn't neccesary. My only real complaint about the interative cutscenes was that they kind of took away what had the potential to be some really awesome boss battles. #5) Cistern and the Tomb of Tihocan have been merged into a single level. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think they should have just kept them as two separate levels? The game would have been longer had they been two seperate levels, so yeah, they should have kept them seperate. #6) Worst remade level was ____________________ because ____________________. I don't know, I thought they were all done pretty well. #7) Best remade level was ____________________ because ____________________. Hard to say. I enjoyed them all. #8) Did you get to collect every Relic? Or are you still on the hunt for them? If you are still on the hunt for them...which ones are you missing and where? I got them all! #9) Which Relic did you find first? I found the very first relic in the game first, because I had a feeling it was up there and I was very very persistant when trying to reach it. It paid off. #10) Which Relic was your favorite? I don't remember them all... there was the one in that room in the Egypt levels, where you had to match the symbols on the pillars. I liked that one. Lol #11) Relics are used to unlock new outfits. Which outfit was your favorite and least favorite? - Wet Suit - Classic Lara - Camouflage Favorite... not sure why... it was stylish. - Catsuit - Legend - Golden - Doppelganger - Scorched Natla Least favorite... I wanted to be NORMAL Natla... - Croft Manor Sport #12) Lara's Wet Suit in TR2 read SOLA on her chest, did you noticed that in TRA SOLA was substituted with designs? Yeah, I noticed that right away. #13) Did you get to collect all Artifacts? Or are you still missing some/most of them? I got them all. #14) Did you like Winstons new look? Yes or No and Why? He creeped me out. Then again he creeped me out in the original games too. #15) Do you miss Lara's Obstacle Course? Everyday. #16) Did you manage to complete Croft Manor's Time Trial? If yes, do you remember the time you made it in? I did but I don't remember the time. It's probably saved on my memory card though. #17) Unlike in Legend, in TRA you can go outside of Lara's mansion, Do you feel like they could have added the Quad Bike area like in TR3 or just overall added more things to do outside? I really really miss that assault course. I used to spend hours doing that alone. Sometimes I go back and play TR2 and TR3 and just run the assault courses, even today! #18) Hardest boss battle was The Centaurs because I didn't yet know how to do the Adrenaline Dodge. #19) Easiest boss battle was The Legless Creature because ... I'm not sure. I just figured it out really quickly. #20) Legless mutant make-over...Liked or Didn't Liked? Why? Too easy. I liked the concept, but once you figure it out, you're done. They should have included more shooting and the hanging off the edge technique. #21) T-Rex make-over...Liked or Didn't Liked? Why? It was pretty cool! #22) Natla's make-over...Liked or Didn't Liked? Why? Natla did seem to be the most fun boss battle in the whole game, and it had more to do then just shooting her like in the original. #23) Pierre Or Larson in TRA? I wanted to shoot them. But never ACTUALLY got the chance. #24) My favorite level was ___________________ because __________________. I dunno. I liked the Egypt levels! #25) My least favorite level was ___________________ because ____________________. Hard to say. #26) The easiest level was ____________________ because ____________________. I don't remember. #27) The hardest level was ____________________ because ____________________. I don't really remember. I think it was Atlantis because everytime I'd try to climb up that stupid pit those flying creatures would knock me off the ledge and into the lava. Grr! #28) Anything else that you would like to add or say, please do so now. Over all, I think this was a fine game, and I enjoyed it immensely! ~End Of Reflection, Thank You For Taking It~
  11. Omg, I'm hyperventilating again. This really looks like Tomb Raider again! I mean, the last few games were amazing, but this underwater stuff looks INCREDIBLE! I've always hated having to swim for long periods of time in video games, but I am really really excited about this!
  12. Lara's like James Bond. Grow old, get young again with a new voice, grow old, get young again all of a sudden. I swear, 007 doesn't have an age, why should Lara?
  13. You don't stop raiding tombs when you get old, you get old when you stop raiding tombs. 'Nuff said.
  14. It'll probably be out for Christmas. Which will be mighty nice, though having it come out on Halloween would be better, because that's right up near my birthday, and I think the original came out on Halloween.
  15. My nephews called the game "tumor aider". I said, "It is NOT a tumor! Nor is Lara Croft a doctor of any kind!" But I think it's just a mistake. I mean, even when some people are typing real fast and they know that they mean to type Lara, sometimes it's just a typo and they end up spelling it like Laura. It's pronounced basically the same way. And some people don't even know that it IS Lara, they just say Laura because they think that Lara is an unusual name and they don't even think twice about it. However, they should read on the case where it clearly states "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" But I guess most people just overlook that.
  16. That level is mighty confusing. It's best to just walk around and explore the entire area when you get the chance. I can get through that level easy now that I know my way around.
  17. TRXpert replied to a post in a topic in Tomb Raider Legacy
I still have no idea how I passed that. Only by the grace of God, did I beat that thing.
  18. This reminds me a bit of Resident Evil 4. You buy, upgrade, and store weapons. You bleed until you heal yourself with an herb, is also a Resident Evil thing. The limping around when she get's hurt was a Core idea for Tomb Raider AOD, but it didn't make it into the game, like everything else. I think all of these sound like fantastic ideas, but let's not complicate it too much. We don't want to lose the focus that the game is actually about raiding tombs and solving puzzles. It would be nice if they let you pick what items you want to bring with you when you leave the mansion. That way, depending on what you bring with you will alter the outcome of the level and how you pass it. The only problem with Lara buying things is that it's a bit easy since she's, like, a multi-billionaire.
  19. His name is Takamoto, and he's pretty simple to beat once you learn how to do it. First you need to run behind one of those statues and climb a pipe that will lead you to the upper floor where you can confront Takamoto. You want to stay away from the lower floor because there are gun turrets down there. You have to keep shooting him at all times, but at the same time dodge his green beams. When he shoots low beams, jump over them, when he shoots high beams, roll under them. When you get close to him, he'll shoot a vertical beam that's easy to avoid as long as you continue moving at all times. In the meantime you should be able to chase him around, but as long as you keep shooting him and dodging the hurtful beams, (using a medi-pack whenever you need one) you should do fine. It just takes practice. Oh, and don't try to kick him. It doesn't work.
  20. There's nothing more fun then what ifs, however, I do worry that we may come up with a better storyline then Crystal Dynamics. Lol Oh and the story about the Shaman that nursed Lara back to health was scrapped along with the story that Von Croy had actually stuck around to dig up Lara's body. You have to use your imagination, but in AOD, Lara did mention that Von Croy left her there in Egypt. She was quite bitter about that, in fact, she even thought that she may have killed him for it. I think the whole thing is open to interpretation. Much like how the Tomb Raider Chronicles stories don't seem to fit in with the other games chronologically. We have to use our interpretation. It's best that we don't ask questions. Lol I'm really excited about this Queen of the Underworld thing. This can turn out to be quite a plot, indeed!
  21. Brilliant! There very well can be a connection there. If Lara could talk to the dead, it would be a lot like in the Tomb Raider movie where she talked to her father. However, if she does talk to someone who's dead, I doubt it'll be Kurtis. First of all, I was under the impression that Kurtis survived(I'm beginning to think I'm the only person who feels that way though lol) second, I highly doubt Kurtis is going to be coming back in any of the new Tomb Raider games, though, I must say, it would be really awesome to have him back. Von Croy probably wouldn't turn up either, but you never know. That's what's so great about these new games. Anything can happen, you never know when someone is going to pop up. I have a strange feeling that Natla will return, actually. Oh but they never said Lara's father is dead, have they? They said he disappeared. I mean, they basically implied that he's dead, but who knows really. Lara's mother could possibly be dead, I'm thinking she might be in the Underworld somewhere. I'd love to see what they do with all these possibilities! I'm so hopeful! I've always used to wonder what happened at the end of The Last Revelation also, but I think that's explained in the book "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Amulet of Power" by Mike Resnick, which was written to bridge the gap between Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. It's considered the official story between the two games, however, it doesn't say that Von Croy found Lara, it says that she was rescued by Kevin Mason Jr., the son of a famous Archeologist, who was actually searching the tomb Lara was trapped in to find the Amulet of Mareish. It's quite an amazing story. I love that book, but I haven't read any of the sequels yet. I'm a terribly slow reader.
  22. Oh yeah, I saw that video before. It's hilarious! You know I played TR2 many many times in the past 10 years, and I still don't think I fully understand it.
  23. That picture is the HOTNESS. 'Nough said.
  24. I love this game so much, I want it for Christmas. I already beat it once when I borrowed it from my friend. Doesn't it have multiple endings though? I've been in the mood to play it so badly lately... I should go buy it, it won't cost too much since it's not a real new game. Still awesome though!
  25. I'm so excited for this. "KillBill" on PlanetLara posted scans from the magazine "Play" with Lara on it's cover. I'll upload the pictures. They add to my excitement! You can also read about it on Planetlara's Tomb Raider Underworld minisite but that's only information as it becomes available to them on PLi. So they might not have any more information then we do here. I'm actually taking a little break from PLi but I stopped by to read this cus it was exciting and I thought I should share it with ya'll. In case any of you find it useful. Which I think this was in another thread anyway... but oh well.
