NECA: 7" Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Legend

NECA is to produce a Video Game 'cult classics'-esque line, and we're pleased to bring you a first look at the Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend figure from series 1...

As you are probably aware, NECA snuck out an announcement last month buried in their MySpace page that they will be launching a new line in the fall of 2006, that will closely follow the format for Cult Classics, but be based on videogames instead of movies. A lot of the work has already been done, with the first series already well into the process.

Series 1 will feature

Lara Croft

Kain

Hitman

We've been dieing to show you Lara Croft and we finally got the thumbs up to show you the figure.

The figure as you can see is based off of the appearance of Lara in the latest game in the franchise: Tomb Raider Legend. It's a pretty good game, too. As I said to my friends who've all agreed with me, it's nothing revolutionary, but it does what it does well, with great level design and great playability.

The final Lara Croft figure will stand some 7" tall, and I think you'll agree that this figure looks great. It's often been a challenge to get Videogamers to buy action figures, but the NECA line will convert more than a few people.

Expect to see this prototype along with others in this line at San Diego Comic Con.

OH YEAH!!! that figure of Lara Legend looks absolutly GREAT! i have got to buy it!

btw i think this figure looks more like the Lara model Karima Adebibe than the Lara of the game..... oh well anyways its very nice !!!

i will only buy it if they fix the details:

the grenades

the grapple hook

the PLS

the flares on the front of her shoulder strap

now that i have taken a nother good look... i think that her hair is a little to short, the space between her top and shorts is to big (witch makes her look to long and to thin)... and she has no holsters!!

Jees...I just noticed that she has no holsters....

This figure is rather unproportinal to mu mind. And what happened to her lips?? Looks like plastic surgery did a mistake. From the good points I have to admit they had paid a lot attention to body curves and hair.Very detailed.
