Anyone else encounter this problem?

I am playing the Full U.S. Retail version, out of a Box on an Original CD:

In Lost Valley,

right before she gets to the T-Rex after the bear by the Hut, Lara works herself up to a large deep opening with sloped sliding wooden panels;

there is a Shotgun Shells Power Up by the stone stairs RIGHT AFTER THE CHECKPOINT and on the other side of the large opening, another Shotgun Shell Power Up on a wooden Ledge that Lara lands on.

She will not pick them up;

the YELLOW Exclamation mark won't even show when she's standing near them or on top of them.

I have tried pressing E and also CTRL with Lara position from different angles!!

Anyone else had this problem?

Yeah, I had this problem too, and as far as I know it's because Lara can only carry a limited amount of ammunition. If you use some of the ammo you're carrying now, she'll be able to pick those shells up.

limited to only 40 rounds of Shotgun Ammo?

that's not good!!

yeah same thing happened to me. I guess that must be the problem. either that or you just can't pick those up. I was able to pick ones up later on in greece, but It might be cuz I used my shotgun on the lions.

There's a limit to what you can carry, yes! I've never ran out of ammo though.
