In the log-in box there is a tick box option to be anonymous. J7 does it all the time - then posts so we know he's there.

I'm at work and don't want this site directly in my history (tho work could still find it). Also, sometimes I'm making a quick visit so I don't log in- I think maybe I appear as google. Tho I could just be confused!

Why dont you set up a ssh session to your box at home, use it as secure tunnel. Another option would be to cvn via some other encrypted tunnel.

Mick- thanks for replying. Can I be honest I am not sure what you are talking about here! I've talked to you before so I think you know I'm not intending to be rude! I'm not as PC literate as some.

Because every time there's an annonymous member logged in, you make a post, and you don't appear in the active members list

Sometimes I prefer to be anonymous. A couple of those times were me.

I just noticed a name....Archive.org

Is that a search engine site

It's the Internet Archive making a copy of the page to store in it's database. Then one day we can all look back on it with nostalgia!
