I downloaded the game yesterday. But I've not made heads or tails of the first level. I got to this area where there is a rolling blade trap. I noticed what appeared to be a door in the middle of the sloped floor, but I can't even get near it because I get run over. If I do get to it, will it open when I stand on it or will I have to find a lever elsewhere to open it?

By the way, I like the game. I can't believe it runs so well on my old computer.

Yes, there are a few minor changes in the revised TR1, the caves maybe the biggest change of all with these new areas added in. Where u are tho, the doors u see in the floor are activation tiles, and u need to run onto the 4 corner tiles, plus those central ones between the rolling blades (i think there were 2 of them) to activate the door to get out.

I saw the corner tiles you mentioned, so how do I get to them. I did do some more searching and found a blue key....it shows in my inventory as blue key 2, so there must be another somewhere.

Actually that path you show marked for Key 1 is where I found Key 2.....What I am trying to find out now is how to get to the four corner tiles in the room with the rolling blade trap.

OK Blade, the walkthru helped me ALOT at this stage, and I've tried explaining to you in the chatroom, but i think it'd be better if I posted it here, for future reference:

Step inside when the deadly device starts rolling away from you (the door closes behind you, so you're committed at this point).

Side flip either to the right or left onto the first golden tile.

When the spike ball comes and goes again, sidestep close to the fence and take two side flips in rapid succession to reach the other golden tile in the opposite corner.

Now run along the fence to the next golden tile.

Sidestep close to the fence and take two side flips to the final golden tile.

Now stand next to the golden tile nearest the west door and face west.

When the spike ball rolls by east, side flip over the fence onto the tile and simply run forward to safety as the door opens.

As far as i am aware, u can only play any level by editing the script with TRWEST and this might not work with the TREP versdion of the game. Not sure about the north weapons cheat tho, i think u face north and select a small med pack, then press GUNS on your keyboard. What's your prob with facing north?

Edit Ok i see the prob with north, it doesn't show up in the trep version, but it does if u install the game into its own trle folder. Anyway, i have edited the scripts for you so u can play any level, and also use the dozy cheat for all weapons and health; i just need an email addy to send them to you so see ur PM's :-)

God, why haven't I see this game a year ago? Lol. The Lost Valey was fun. I don't think you can kill the T-Rex with pistols, as it just "bounces" off of him. Which is pretty more relastic. Do you think two .45 handgunds (I think), can bring a T-REX down? Just get the shotgun like you said and get under him (you'll probably lose a little health as he steps on you), and shoot and he's down. Those raptors are VICTIOUS! They remind me of the ones in Anniversary, lol.

I'm in Tomb Of Qualopec is so far pretty different. I went into the right room first, and pulled the lever and well, restart, haha. There are a lot of levels that are a little different, which is cool. City of Vilcabamba, was nicely done. Can't wait to see St. Francis Holly

I suppose the cheats for TR: Revelation would be the same? I'm going to try and see. I'm a cheater! I just want all weapons, lol.

Level Skip: Use the compass to position Lara facing exactly north.** Then escape to the inventory screen. Highlight the Load Game icon (stone tablet). Press and hold the keys H E L P for a moment or, if that doesn't work, press and hold S K I P. (This is not case sensitive, but you do need to hold all the keys down together.) Can I have a saved game so that the door in Palace Midas (the one with the missing letter) is open. I am doing the levers RIGHT. UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, UP. But it will NOT open. Only door I'm lacking.

Im in the tomb of qualopec. im finding this really hard as do with all the old tr games lara's fault its hard without fluid movement

Well the cheats DO work, if you use the TRLE and not the new one. Then you can change it back to the new one. BUT, I can't climb on moveable blocks anymore, even though I'm using the new tomb4. :S Not good.

Cause Im in the cistern but i must have done something too soon there's a room which is flooded but i cant stand on a block now cause she swims over it and now i cant reach another ledge :s (this is before getting the silver key (1)
