A full revised remake of TR1 all the levels with some gorgeous layouts to give it a new twist

and using the TR4 graphics make it even more inviting. Minus the videos of course,but

a ton of fun and a stand a lone install and play game as well. Kudos to Daoine Sidhe for

a job well done indeed with the level editor woo hoo!! Get the new level here at LCO!

it's still pretty grainy and blocky, how do I adjust it, I tried keys F1 to F12 and nothing works

mine doesn't look like anything in the 2 screenshots!!

how do you change the resolution?

When I first ran it it brought up a config window.. If it didn't do that for you, what you need to do is:

create a shortcut to the tomb4.exe

Right click on the shortcut and go to properties

Int he target field, after the game path add " -setup"

so it should look like this:

"C:\Documents and settings\Ben\Desktop\tr1-revised\TR1-Remake\tomb4.exe" -setup

(although obviously the first bit varies)

then run the shortcut

I am running it in 1280x960 16bit and I can go up to 1280x1024 32bit if I wanted to!!

Good thing it said "Revised". It's got the TR-1 feel, but it's nowhere near an exact duplicate. Ah, well....

...trying it out now, though. Kinda stuck in one spot at the "Caves", figuring out how to open a gate at the other end of a trap that involves a sort of "rolling pin" object. Email hints if you've got 'em.

What does "for non-TREP" mean?

TREP is a new tomb raider engine patcher.. It allows builders to add more stuff to the LE like new moves for Lara etc.. With the TR1 Revised game, you will get a tomb.exe with the download.. If you use this exe u are using the trep version.. If not then u are using the non-trep version. This is vital to know for this game as later on u will be asked to use a lever according to what version u are using - and u must use the correct lever or u will have issues with crashes later on.

If u used the tomb4.exe that was supplied with the level Download, then u are running the trep version (the tomb4.exe supplied with the level DL is a trep exe) .. But you can also use the original tomb4.exe that is supplied with the LE, and in that case u would be running the non-trep version.. The non- trep version is useful if folk encounter crashes when playing a patched (trep) level, but you wouldn't get the special in-game effects that the trep version offers.

Yes, you can be lucky and bring him down with two shots, but you do need the shotgun to do it.. I never tried to kill him with the pistols tho, so i'm not sure if you can, or how long that would take.. but get between his legs and fire up at his belly with the shotgun, that normally sorts him out nicely

hey just a little cry for help here:)

i am totally stuck in Caves; I am in this area with the bridges and the avalanche where there is practically nothing but a pack of shotgun shells; on the other side of the T intersection where i have fallen in the fisrt place there is an abyss where i tried to fall, I survived, pulled a lever in an alcove nearby but got stuck again...

can u help me? anyone?

I downloaded the game yesterday. But I've not made heads or tails of the first level. I got to this area where there is a rolling blade trap. I noticed what appeared to be a door in the middle of the sloped floor, but I can't even get near it because I get run over. If I do get to it, will it open when I stand on it or will I have to find a lever elsewhere to open it?

By the way, I like the game. I can't believe it runs so well on my old computer.
