Hi all,

Well I've made it through these stupid Quicktime things so far but this one has stumped me. In the past when the first icon pops up I hit the F key and then when the hand icon pops up I hit the E key and it has worked. (I'm playing on a PC of course) In this sequence no matter what I do I die. I've tried a dozen times and can not get past this point.

Are you supposed to wait for the on screen notification and then press the key just once or are you supposed to tap the keys or what and am I hitting the keys too late or just what am I doing wrong? I'd really like to know. I bought this game through Steam and there is no manual so I'm operating blind here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As a side, I downloaded the trainer that is supposed to bypass these events and it works great except that the game freezes as soon as it is finished. Lara says I'm glad that's over or whatever it is she says and then I can't move her. So, that avenue is not available to me.

Try turning your graphics settings down for this one; I've heard reports from people saying that framerate slowdowns during this QTE can cause the game and the button presses to be out of synch. If you're having a problem getting past the left-right bit by mashing the keys very quickly, try slowing down a bit. The game seems to be very fussy about how fast you press the keys during this QTE.

After the left right-bit, wait for the exclamation mark to appear before pressing F once (don't press it too soon though), and then when the hand icon appears, keep pressing E very fast. After that, wait for another exclamation mark to appear and press F, then keep hitting F to stab the wolf.

I had massive difficulty getting past this point too. I finally got past it by slowing down my button presses during the left-right part.

I struggled with this wolf, you're hitting/mashing the right keys, but the initial key has to be used before the 'target icon' on the wolf disappears, it's almost like the dodge action in Anniversary. Keep at it, and good luck!

Thanks for the help. I was finally able to get past it (after several more times of dying). I think I now understand it if I can just get my fingers to cooperate with my brain.
