  9. Lara Croft Raids the World of Hero Wars in a Special Limited-Time Event Embark on one of Lara Croft’s strangest journeys to date, as she enters the world of Nexters’ epic fantasy MMORPG Hero Wars in a time-limited event! Lara Croft is familiar with finding herself in uncharted territories, but this expedition into the mystical world of Dominion might be one of her wildest adventures yet. Starting on May 13th and running until May 26th, players of Hero Wars: Alliance (on iOS and Android) and Hero Wars: Dominion Era (for browsers) will be able to recruit the acrobatic archaeologist adventurer Lara Croft to join their party for free and fight alongside an army of epic heroes, and unlock an assortment of iconic outfits along the way. During her two week tour of the mystical world of Dominion, Lara will join the hunt for mystical treasures, and battle a host of villains, including the forces of the evil Archdemon. For the duration of the event, players will also have the option to summon Lara directly into battle, bolstering their forces. As a regular party member, Lara is a balanced and reliable long-range fighter, peppering foes with her signature dual pistols, and channeling the power of her personal collection of ancient artifacts to change the tide of battle. Outside of a fight, her treasure-hunting experience comes into play, taking players on a special expedition to obtain rare and valuable resources. "Despite Hero Wars being active since 2016, this is the first collaboration event in the game’s long history," Nexters said. "We are thrilled to be working alongside Crystal Dynamics and to have such a truly iconic character join the Hero Wars roster. We hope this will be as much of an adventure for Lara as it is for us!" The event begins at 10 a.m. EST on May 13th, 2024, and runs until 8 p.m. EST on May 26. After this date, Lara will be hopping on the first plane (or interdimensional portal) back to Croft Manor. Make sure you add her to your collection of heroes before the event ends! Hero Wars is free to play, and available now on Mobile and web browsers. Put The Puzzle Together To Learn More! LINK Source
  10. Tomb Raider I-III Remastered | Patch 2 - Posters Thank you to the Tomb Raider community for your continued feedback and support for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft. In the recently released Patch 2, we made several texture and graphical updates to the HD version. As part of these updates, the posters in Sleeping With The Fishes (The Lost Artifact) were inadvertently removed in the HD version of the game. This has been resolved and these textures will be restored in Patch 3. LINK
  11. Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Update Quietly Removes Sexy Lara Croft Pinups The recently released and evocatively named Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered starring Lara Croft allowed an entirely new generation of gamers to experience the formative action platformers for the first time. But it seems that in the last update, released a couple of weeks ago, sexy pinup posters of Croft herself have quietly gone missing, a change not mentioned in the patch notes. Fans, as you might imagine, quickly noticed and were unimpressed, already pointing fingers at Crystal Dynamics. Reports began to trickle in via Reddit (thanks, Kotaku) that certain suggestive images of Croft, which could be observed in a locker room in the Tomb Raider 3 level, Sleeping with the Fishes, are now entirely blank when playing in the remastered graphics mode. The pinups can still be seen in the original graphics setting, where they resemble pixelated postcards. BEFORE PATCH AFTER PATCH PUSH SQUARE LINK

  14. BAFTA Poll Recognizes Lara Croft as ‘Most Iconic Video Game Character of All Time’ The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) recognized Lara Croft this week as ‘The Most Iconic Video Game Character of All Time.’ 4,000 gamers contributed to the decision in BAFTA’s Players’ Poll, which pitted 20 household names against one another for the crown – including staples like Pikachu, Mario, and Sonic the Hedgehog. The poll went live ahead of the BAFTA Games Awards on April 11, where Lara Croft’s original voice actress Shelley Blond will present an award. Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Blond says: “What’s so iconic about Lara Croft is the fact that she is a female lead in a video game.” “She’s all about girl power and female empowerment. She’s at the forefront, she is what the adventure is.” LINK
