If you're having problems with some of the earlier Tomb Raider games on Windows XP, try compatibility mode: First, right-click on the icon you use to launch the game (you can use the one on the start menu or the desktop). Then choose Properties, and choose the Compatibility tab. Tick the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for: and choose Windows 98 / Windows ME. Note: Do not do this for Angel of Darkness as it causes the game to not save.

I'm sticking with PC... I've never owned a console, so it's what I'm used to. Plus, I like that I can upgrade if I want to, and download patches and trainers for games.

It seems to happen in a certain place in Vasseley's apartment in the Monstrum Crimescene. If I jump from the platform you see in the corner ahead of Lara here: and angle her slightly towards the right so she hits the wall, she sinks into the ground.
