Yeah. The place with the ladder isn't where you need to be, but the place where you do need to be is out of that corridor and on the right. Thing is, to advance to the next level you need to trigger a cut-scene, and I'm not entirely sure that the cut-scene will load with the level like that.

Apparently you have to enter the code very quickly for it to work. Unfortunately I don't have a PS2 to test it on though.

Bad luck man You could try the level skip like j7 suggested, but it would mean you wouldn't get whatever upgrades there are before the end of the level.

If you've saved in the black area, I don't think that there's a way to get the game to load right again. That's from my experience with the PC version though, the PS version could be different. The only thing I can think of to suggest is either that you go back to your previous save, or keep reloading in the hope that it will come right

I had this same problem in the same place, but with my PC version. I went back to an earlier save and replayed to that point, and then the textures all loaded like they were supposed to. Do you have an earlier save you can go back to?

I've just started the Temple Ruins... I'm not very far into it yet. I should be meeting up with those statues soon though Lara refused to listen to me when I told her to swim through a doorway and she ended up being devoured by piranhas. Or the Indian equivalent of piranhas anyway... Interesting bit of trivia: this location here is where Tim once drowned Lara in an episode of the TV show Spaced. I love Spaced

It's at that bit in the first level that . That area with the shallow water acts a bit strange... If you stand in the water and shoot, you can make water rings in the air

I went back and did level one again because it annoyed me that I missed one of the secrets Thanks to BP for the help with the missing secret Also, I thought this picture of Lara's ponytail standing up was quite amusing... I'm moving on to level 2 tomorrow night

The PS3 will use Blu-Ray technology, but it will also be able to read CDs and DVDs, so it will be mostly backward compatible. It wouldn't be very bright of Sony to make it so that the PS3 only reads Blu-Ray discs.

Itachi, for the sound looping thing, go here and download the TR3 patch. It'll copy the audio files to your hard drive and should solve the problem. It did for me anyway. Be warned though, it uses the patch and it may stop savegames made with the unpatched version of the game from working, so you might have to re-start if you use it.

I've saved 20 times so far, which is quite little for me. I'm quite used to playing games that have checkpoints, so I forget to save... then I fall off a ledge and land in a spike pit and have to start again from way back

I just finished level 1 My stats: I missed one of the secrets I can't remember where it is... I used to know the locations of all the secrets in TR3, but it's been so long since I've played it all the way through.

I don't know what the patch does, but you could try it. The India demo is only about 7Mb big, so I don't think that there would be much extra there for the patch to allow access to. Otherwise, you could try compatibility mode. Apparently if you use Windows 2000 compatibility mode of some of those demos it stops the crashing. Right-click on the tomb3.exe file and go to properties in the menu. Click on the compatibility tab in the dialog box that pops up, tick Run this program in compatibility mode for and choose Windows 2000 (or if that doesn't work, Windows 98).

We only really started tonight, so you're not too late. I'm only halfway through level 1 myself, and most of us have work and family commitments which mean we won't be finishing it too quicky.

lol, I'd never thought about it either, until I went looking for the pyramid complex in Google Earth and realised that it's actually right outside an absolutely massive city. So yeah... dunno why it took so long to find her, or why she was presumed dead. Guess Werner really did just take off without telling anyone what happened... Even though all he had to do was stop off at the nearest pay phone to give the rescue services a call...

Bwahaha, very good I like it! Some good logic there. ...not to mention that it was the Great Pyramid that Lara got trapped in, which happens to be right on the outskirts of Cairo, the biggest city in Africa. So she could've just waited until all the Egyptian authorities arrived, concerned that their biggest tourist attraction had just partly collapsed...

I'm partway through the first level now. I've gotten up to the water bits now, which I think I'll leave for later. I've found 5 of the 6 secrets, which isn't too bad... I hope I remember where the last secret is though. I have to confess though, I did kill one of the monkeys. It snuck up on me and I shot at it out of reflex, then I had to finish it off or it would'a followed Lara around biting her ankles

How could you kill the monkeys?! I am shocked and appalled! Also: Heh heh heh.
