Using PC, Stuck at Fighting Russian
You're on the right track. Basically it's all about timing. Watch for the on-screen prompts and press the buttons just as the icons appear. First Melee (F on the keyboard) to kick the guy in the crotch. Then Melee again to bite him. If you fail in either of these, he chokes Lara. If you succeed, she manages to knock his gun away and scramble after it, freeing her hands in the process. When you see the targeting reticule on screen, aim at him with the mouse or right stick and press Fire (left mouse button). Next, follow the prompts and alternate pressing Left and Right to break free. (If A/S don't work try the left and right arrow keys--and vice versa--some players seem to have better luck with one, some the other.) For the next button prompt, tap Interact (E) repeatedly as Lara struggles to keep her grip on the gun, then Fire again to finish him off. If you fail, he shoots Lara and you have to try again. Good luck!

What happens when you try to fast travel back to the last camp you visited?

AOD 10th Anniversary Celebration
Hi, all. As you probably know, June 20th marks the 10th anniversary of the release of Angel of Darkness. A few friends and I have been discussing plans for online festivities. I don't have a whole lot of free time these days, so ongoing contests and such are not really feasible for me, but I'd love to help plan and be part of a one-day AOD blast. I'm thinking about livestreaming some AOD gameplay with chat alongside. That worked well for the Extra Life marathon I organized a while back, and people seemed to have fun. Whoever wants to play would be welcome, and people who can't or don't want to stream for whatever reason could still join in via the chat. Is anyone else interested in something like that? Do you have other ideas? I'm open to any and every suggestion. I just think it's important to do something to mark this milestone. The 20th is a Thursday, so perhaps Saturday the 22nd would be easier logistically. Let me know what you think.

Stuck! Where to next?
The map screen should tell you what your current goal is and show a diamond-shaped icon for where you need to go next. So if you're still back in the Coastal Forest, use one of the camps there to fast travel back to the farthest you've been (Mountain Temple?). Once you're in that area, check your map and you should see Lara's position marked by a green arrow and your objective by a diamond. Back in normal game view, press the button for Survival Instinct, and you'll see a beacon of light emanating up to the sky from the area with the objective. If you're still having difficulty once you locate the objective, let us know. If you're having trouble finding everything for 100% completion, my walkthrough lists everything for those early levels. Still working on the later ones. Good luck!

DLC's for new areas in single player?
Me too, CosmicBob. There's a thread on the Eidos forums asking players for DLC/feature requests. I posted a vote for single-player DLC there. Maybe you'd like to add your 2 cents.

Weapon Parts Glitch? (minor spoilers)
Sorry to double post but I wanted to add and bump at the same time. On replaying, I'm noticing that some of the weapon part pick-ups seem to always be in the same place, while others seem to be random. Is this true for everybody? If anyone would care to share info on the locations of any/all weapon parts in your game, I'd really appreciate the help. ADDENDUM (5/22/13): You've all probably figured this out by now, but with further experimentation, it's become clear that some of the parts are randomly placed, though generally within a certain area, while others are anchored to a specific room or enemy. Still messing around and still interested if anyone wants to share info.

Radio Tower glitch???
Hi, odell4life, Just to to flesh out Shrensh's excellent suggestion.... You mentioned in your post that you got "past" the radio tower before you got sidetracked. Does that mean you completed the radio tower sequence, sending the transmssion and calling the rescue plane? Did you then make it down the mountain and meet up with Roth again? If so, there's no need to go back to the tower. You just need to continue on from the Mountain Village. My Mountain Village Part 3 walkthrough has details about exploring that area and what to do when you're ready to go after Sam. If I misunderstood what you were saying and you did not yet climb the radio tower and can't now, then it does sound like a glitch. Which system are you playing on? If PC, I have save files on my site, including one for before the tower climb. See here.

Parachuting through the evergreens.
Thanks for helping to spread the word. I've been adding more saves as I work my way through the game a second time. Just posted version two for after the Mountain Descent, which has more salvage and upgrades done than my first save. That first set wasn't really meant for public consumption, but people kept asking for them so I put them up. Here are the links again: TR 2013 saves and instructions.

XBOX 360 Support!
Maybe try posting on the Xbox 360 support forums. They have player moderators who generally know as much or more than the paid techs.

Getting to the beach HELP?
Hi, Wanda. It's nice to see you here. These aren't my forums, though I am privileged to know the site owner (Tom@LCO) and some of the wonderful moderators. It's a great community with lots of helpful players. I'm afraid I'm clueless about your beach problem, but hopefully Shrensh's suggestion will work. She usually knows what's what.

Weapon Parts Glitch? (minor spoilers)
Hey, all. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a recurring glitch in which you loot an enemy's body or crack open a salvage crate and see a message about receiving a weapon part in an area where it's not "supposed" to be. This has happened to me several times. For example, here in Mountain Village part 2: Here in Chasm Monastery bell room: Here at the very beginning of Shantytown: There have been others as well. Is it just me? Also, not sure if this should be in General Discussion or Help. Moderators, feel free to move.

DLC's for new areas in single player?
So far the devs have said they have no plans for single-player DLC. I guess "no plans" doesn't mean "never" but still...

compass points
When I refer to map directions in my walkthrough, that's what I mean. North is up, west is left, etc. Since, as Shrensh said, the in-game map doesn't actually tell you which way is which, I'm just making the assumption that North is up. Probably worth a mention in the text. But I also try to give landmarks in the scenery when I can.

Lantern throwing
Awesome! I love it when one of my wild, random guesses actually works. I can't remember if this game allows you to assign multiple keys for the same thing, but if not, you can always swap them when you need to do the business with the lantern and then change back to normal for combat.

Lantern throwing
So far you're the only one I've heard from who's had this problem. My first suggestion would be to try changing the controls for Aim and Fire just temporarily to see if that makes a difference. Also, I assume you're already doing this, but just to cover all bases...you do need to continue to hold Aim as you adjust the lantern's trajectory and then press Fire. Until we figure out a solution, I'm happy to take your save, do whatever lantern thing needs doing, and send it back. Anybody else know something we don't?

Solarii Woodpecker (dedicated to Shrensh)
@Shrensh; Always a big fan of your glitch videos. Thought you might enjoy this one. Be sure to turn up the volume a bit since the audio is half the fun.

How you doing? How Far are you along? How you like it?

Screenshots for the PC?
FWIW, Steam has a built-in screenshot key: F12. It stores screenshots in its own directory, which you can access through the Screenshot Manager. In the system tray (bottom right near the Windows clock), click the little triangle to "Show Hidden Icons." Then right-click the Steam icon and choose Screenshots from the pop-up menu. You can also navigate directly to the screenshot directory, which should be something like Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\xxxxxxx\760\remote\203160\screenshots, where the x's are your Steam ID. I mostly use Fraps for screenshots, but this is a nice feature if you don't need to take too many.

Incredible Game but Need some explanations/guidance
Sorry I didn't see your post sooner. You're probably finished with the game by now, but in case anyone else needs it, there's a controls page on my site. It's still in progress, and I plan to add more detail as time permits, but it covers the basics. The map section is at the bottom of the page: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/controls/TR9controls.html
