Missing (unreachable?) survival cache in Acropolis
You're welcome. I'm glad I could help. In case you don't already know this, you will be able to fast travel back to Syria once you've beaten the main story. Good luck!

Missing (unreachable?) survival cache in Acropolis
I think it's fine to continue in this thread, since the topic is basically more of the same. It looks like you're missing the relic I call #8 in my walkthrough. It's in the Pit of Judgment Challenge Tomb area (the one with the big pool and the mine cart tracks). The Hidden Ravine base camp is the nearest camp. Here's the series of screenshots that shows where it is: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR10walk/details/pit-judgment-3.html#2 The missing survival caches seem to be #3 and #4 in my walkthrough. They're in the House of the Afflicted Challenge Tomb near the Infirmary base camp. Pix are here: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR10walk/details/house-afflicted-3.html Almost done now!

Missing (unreachable?) survival cache in Acropolis
These screenshots show where the satchel is if you're approaching the level exit for the first time. If you've already completed the level, you need to start at the Cliffside Lookout camp in the Geothermal Valley and then re-enter the Acropolis through the tunnel to the south. Then work your way down the canyon (from top to bottom on the in-game map). The satchel is in the shallow pit at the location marked with the skull on my map (or the + on the map you posted).

Missing (unreachable?) survival cache in Acropolis
Hi, Zum. Sorry if my walkthrough is unclear, but there are only 3 survival caches in The Acropolis. Their locations are marked on the second map you posted and numbered 1-3 in brown. The first two are near the Remnant Bazaar base camp. So if you missed them, it's easy enough to fast travel back there from another campsite. The third is closer to the Tower Courtyard camp. It looks like you already found that one (grayed-out icon). The item nearest the + sign in the first map you posted is the Explorer Satchel. It's marked with a skull icon on my map. If you need help finding any of those, this Acropolis Collectibles Guide includes tips and screenshots. If you're still having trouble, just post here again and I'll get back to you a.s.a.p.

how i think of the new TR
Hi, hippo. Welcome back. I tend to agree with you on most of these points, but I found that even though it's set in the reboot universe and does continue the Lara's-dad-vs-Trinity storyline begun in the 2013 game, Rise of the Tomb Raider felt a lot more like a classic TR game to me. In case you might ever play it, I won't mention specific plot points, but the story had a classic-TR twist and much more opportunity for exploration than the previous game. I feel like the devs are very gradually drifting back toward classic influences. My main complaint is there still aren't nearly enough puzzles, and the ones that have been included are mostly optional and fairly easy. I guess it leaves room for improvement.

The thorn bushes in caves
I try. I'm following the ROTTR board, but you can always ping me if someone has a walkthrough-type question.

The thorn bushes in caves
Tom is correct (as usual ). Just thought I'd add that if you can see items on the other side of the thorn barriers (and I don't remember cases where this happens, but it may be so), you should be able to get at them from the other side. AFAIK, the thorn barriers are just there to hide spawn points for enemies like wolves. Lara can't get in there, so there won't be anything crucial behind them.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: Scavenger Hunt
Apparently the contest is only open to players in the US and Canada, but wouldn't that be a letdown? Maybe they could fly the winners to Crystal HQ. ;D

Cut Scene with Nikolai and Grenade Launcher
Hi Kimberly. Sorry for leaving you hanging. Just noticed this post. What Tom said normally works fine, but apparently some PC players experience a glitch here. According to this post on the Steam forum, pausing a moment before hitting middle mouse (or whatever button you've assigned to alternate fire) should help. http://steamcommunity.com/app/203160/discussions/0/846947320633204659/ I don't understand exactly why the QTEs are so temperamental, but you're not alone.

Can Man - ROTTR Glitch
I probably should have added more cans first, but I figured I'd see if the lantern would also stick. It didn't.

Can Man - ROTTR Glitch
Sharing this mostly for Shrensh, the undisputed queen of TR bugs, but I hope others will enjoy it.

Abandoned mines zip wire to crane
Hi, Liz. That sounds like a nasty bug. You have my sympathy. If you're playing the PC version, you can download a save file from my site. Files and instructions are at have http://tombraiders.net/stella/savegame/TR10saves.html. If you're playing on the Xbox, you should be able to reload a backup save by following the instructions here: http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/showthread.php?t=182989&p=2182925#post2182925 Hope that helps. Good luck!

PC hardware requirements
You're very welcome. Sorry it didn't work out, but I guess that's one of the pitfalls of PC gaming. Still, it'll be worth it when you see how beautiful this game is.

PC hardware requirements
Hi, Apocryphile. I'm no tech expert, but I've heard from a few people whose systems could run TR 2013 but had trouble with Rise. Some were able to proceed by turning down the graphics settings. A few are still struggling or had to make hardware upgrades. One unexpected problem is that it won't run on 32-bit versions of Windows, as far as I know, only 64-bit. There's a tool you can download from systemrequirementslab.com that will scan your PC and compare it to the specs for Rise (or any of a long list of other games) then spit out a report telling you whether your system is strong enough or where you might need to make upgrades. I've used it many times. It will show you some ads but doesn't install spyware or make changes to your system. I found it very helpful.

Elevator puzzler
TBH, I've only ever played the game with a controller, but I do have PC save files you can download if you want to skip that section.

Elevator puzzler
My walkthrough with screenshots is here: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR9walk/details/research-base-4.html I can't recommend a specific video, but there are several on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tomb+raider+research+base+elevator+puzzle Good luck!

Cliffside bunker - no way out!?
Awesome! Glad it helped. Good luck!

Cliffside bunker - no way out!?
Here's a quick video I just made showing the path to the top of the room. I hope that helps. If it is some kind of bug, it's not one I've heard of before. If you're playing on the PC, you can download a save for that area here: http://tombraiders.net/stella/savegame/TR9saves.html The Cliffside Bunker collection includes one after the combat (you'd still need to climb up but hopefully there would be no problems) and another at the next base camp. That page also includes a link to instructions for downloading and installing save files in case you've never done it before. Good luck.

Cliffside bunker - no way out!?
If you climb up through the inside of the building you'll eventually reach a dangling platform that you can jump onto. From there, you can climb up onto the roof. Complete walkthrough with screenshots here: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR9walk/23-cliffside-bunker.html Good luck!

Always fall when attempting to revisit the Copper Mine
I haven't actually tried that, but I do know that once you've completed the Abandoned Mines level, you can get to all of the collectibles by fast traveling to the Pantheon Corridor base camp. For the stuff back toward the mine entrance (where you first get the knife and cut down the broken elevator), you'd fast travel to the camp and then follow the passageway to the north. (Details in my walkthrough here if you need them.)

During "Mountain Descent" -- help! keep crashing into trees on PC version, no matter how I steer on left-right keys!!
Hi again. The instructions for how to install saves are linked from the page with the downloads. Here's the direct link: http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR9walk/savefiles.html It's a lot of info, but the first part is just general stuff--what are save files, how do they work, etc.--so the actual instructions are in the numbered list below. If you have any questions, just give a shout.

During "Mountain Descent" -- help! keep crashing into trees on PC version, no matter how I steer on left-right keys!!
I have two ideas: One is to try turning down your graphics settings, even if it's just for QTEs and sequences like this where you need fairly precise button presses. It may help the computer recognize what you're doing and respond more quickly. If that fails, there are save files for all levels on my site at http://tombraiders.net/stella/savegame/TR9saves.html. The Mountan Descent level has only two files--one at the start and one after landing just outside Shantytown. Instructions are linked there, but if you have any questions I'm sure we can help you here.

Abandoned Mines HELP ME
It's the same on 360, Xbox One, and PC with Xbox-style controller. The D-Pad is used to switch between weapon types. D-Pad Up selects the bow (and later cycles between special arrow types), D-Pad Down is the pistol, left is shotgun, and right is rifle. You don't have all of those weapons when you start the game but if you're in the mines you should at least have bow, pistol, and rifle. Also, if you press the Menu button while playing, one of the options in the pause menu is View Controls. That shows the button map for the controller.
